It was a little hard because my brother is a heavy metal fan, so he couldn't care less about pop music, and his girlfriend was not really fond of Taylor -because, you know, the media and shit-, but I still managed to make them watch it.

When we finished, I asked them what their final thoughts were and she said something like: "OMG, I didn't know she wrote her own music, I literally thought she had a whole team for that and she only performed them! I have so much respect for her now, I'm really impressed".

My brother simply said: "yeah, I guess I like her, love the fact that she's not a republican".

Then we talked for another hour or so about Taylor and I told them more about her work, her activism, everything she's done for the music industry so far and how she's helped small artists.

His girlfriend wanted to see how the Me! video turned out, so we watched that as well, and then my brother had the "Me-hehe" part stuck in his head a couple of hours later, hahaha.

I'm honestly so happy because this documentary literally changed their mindsets about Taylor, and that's exactly why it is so important, because even though her music is not everyone's cup of tea, you should still be able to respect the artist and the human being behind the art. 💖

This is how @taylorswift makes me feel... understood, loved.

This small town girl just moved from Bolivia to London... folklore and evermore are the best company for this life changing time.
