The thing that baffles me the most since becoming a freelance artist is one of the most controversial topics/arguments in the art community on any platform is what makes criticism constructive vs unconstructive and when is it appropriate to use it and half the people arguing it don’t even draw and/or are the type to claim “if it’s posted on the internet they were basically asking for it” on almost any topic that concerns an artist that was disrespected/taken advantage of If I want criticism the obvious thing to do is go to someone w admirable skill and experience, not kiss the feet of some jaded 14-20 year old who thinks my art looks like danny devito’s asshole
