Katherine: I remember just noticing without a doubt that this woman had walked into my house in a new way. And she was looking at me in a new way. She wasn’t letting me ignore it. What’s so fascinating about a really good actor is that I was standing and she was seated so the force should’ve been with me. But this person would sit with this power…like a king. I was overwhelmed with that energy and it was so exciting.

Vanessa: Here was Katherine being so beautiful and shy with me. Playing someone who didn’t really know how to be looked at. I knew I’d come in and I’d sit down and all I have to do is just look at her and she would somehow know…like there was nothing else going on in that room other than just knowing that I needed to let her know that I was going to kiss her and it was going to be soon.

Mona: My favourite improvisation in the movie I think, is Katherine bending down after the kiss to find Vanessa’s eyes.
