This is the Boy Untitled sigil. I use the term “sigil” because it means a symbol that is meant to have and invoke certain powers. Over the course of creating Boy Untitled, this symbol has come to represent the paradigm shift in my life. It’s a personal symbol of empowerment and evolution. The two circles also represent the Wheel of Time, the Dharmachakra, the path to Nirvana, the never-ending cycle of a birth, death, and rebirth that Boy Untitled describes. It is also a “B” - Boy Untitled - which will always be the foundation and inception of my life as an artist. Now you know!

Many pieces of my journey as an artist were birthed and fostered at the @savageranch and with you 🔻@loveisbailey🔻. And so it begins. June 1 marks the beginning of #pridemonth and the beginning of the #queerbiennial. This year feels particularly potent. I recently married my husband, I've started my career as a musician and embraced myself as an artist. I have had some serious realizations about the truths that guide my life. I've learned (however painful) the limitations of conditional love that existed for me because I am a queer person. I have also finally found true, grounded strength in and appreciation of the power of my chosen family. Or rather... My family. The people who are with me every day. The people who witness my life and see me for who I am. The people who I do the same for. This year, I celebrate Pride with zero hang-ups. No shame. Only the brightest light and the most joy I have ever felt in my life. I am beyond grateful to be the Curator in Charge of Performance at the Queer Biennial and to be surrounded every day of my life with such inspiring people, artists and magicians.
