Ange wasn't the loud type. She was a soft spoken and generally silent person despite her quirk. This was in stark contrast to her classmate, Katsuki bakugo. He was loud, flamboyant, and cocky. But as the old saying goes, "opposites attract."

It was a chilly late winter morning, it was their second year at UA and things finally started to go back to "normal" or as normal as it could be.

Katsuki had noticed this odd feeling in his chest when he was around Ange, not anger or fury but this kinda nervous anxiety like when you're holding something expensive you don't want to break. And to the blonde haired boy, this girl was never meant to be broken by anyone.

The first one to notice katsuki's abnormal behavior around the transfer student was the class rep, tenya iida. He'd noticed the softer words and kinder actions and assumed that his peer was simply trying to make the foreign transfer feel comfortable in a place with very different social rules.

The next to notice was one of katsuki's closest friends, ejiro kirishima. He'd make a pointed remark about "picking favorites" or "new found manly chivalry" but no direct accusations.

The only one to directly call out the explosive behavior, or lack there of, was one izuku midoriya. He had come up to katsuki in the dorms and was very blunt.

"hey kacchan, do you like.. have a soft spot for Ange?"

Katsuki immediately started getting defensive with muttered curses and a loud and firm "no you idiot why would I ever even tolerate that mute nerd!" He huffed and stormed away, but izuku noticed the light red on the tips of katsuki's ears.
