I didn't even know about the history of clickers being used in catholic schools until you sent this anon, needless to say I did plenty of research because I had no idea that this actually existed lol

It would be pretty easy to use those in seminaries, especially since it can be so rigorous and difficult for the students. Just like how it's used with nuns, a clicker could be used to easily help train priests to remember when to stand or kneel during prayer, and how to do certain complicated rituals during mass. It could also be used for more basic positive reinforcement training to encourage them to be focused and respond well to approval from their superiors in the name of pursuing their education.

With something like that being used to help them succeed, I'd imagine that a priest would respond to a clicker when he hears one, even if it's been over a decade since he last heard it. He didn't even realize that he would still respond to it, but he does.

Somehow, one of his parishioners figures that out and decides to try it. They use a clicker to mess with him, and he tries to pretend that it doesn't effect him, but that denial and humiliation he feels soon becomes a part of what's rewarded. It starts to feel good, even if he hates it.
