Ceryx hadnât recovered from his prior deficit of fucks to worry more than that token resistance. He undid his pants, kicking the torn garment to the wall with the shirt. Those would get clean after he took care of himself.
âIâm not entirely familiar with the term, but I havenât met anything quite like you before. Iâve known some people who go Prosthetic, butâŚyour mechanical parts seem a step above anything Iâve seen. Many steps.â He bent down, cleaning his lower body as he talked. He scrubbed away at the caked on blood that had seeped through his clothing, revealing green hair and unbroken skin.
Seeing that there werenât many remaining injuries under the blood made him feel better already. âAnd youâre a lot moreâŚ..polite and talkative than some of the things Iâd say Iâm afraid of.â
While Mezzo raised a brow and pursed his lips quizzically at what Ceryx did - he didnât think that much previously about what humans had underneath their âflimsy armorâ, in all fairness - he didnât say anything, instead listening to what Ceryx had to say.
âPrrros⌠TheticâŚ?â He growled softly, moreso trying to feel out the word in his mouth than expressing strong emotion. Yet another word heâd have to ask about the meaning for later.
âWell⌠I try to be!â The large probably-a-robot said with a sway of his tail, âI was told that humans might feel better being around me if I was nice to them. I donât wanna hurt any, either⌠I want to learn more about them.â His teeth were sticking out of his good-natured (if rather snaggle-toothed) grin that extended down his neck slightly. âDonât need to make them more scared if I donât want them to be, rrrright?â
Mezzo brightened at the sight of Ceryxâs skin looking intact and significantly less red. âHey, looking better already! So water can do that, then?â

To his credit, Ceryx didn't visibly flinch at the grin that went a little too far. But it was a good reminder that he still didn't entirely understand what he was dealing with. Should still be cautious.
"Less than half of that was mine, I think. But it's good to be clean again. And Prosthetic...it's when a person replaces a part of themselves with something made. Sometimes it's just a limb or sometimes they go farther and start trying to replace everything."
He looked at his conversational partner, still not sure how much was flesh, machine, or other. But if this one is learning about humans.... "But yeah, I think you have the right idea. Only make them scared when they need to be."
