feel free to ignore this if you don’t want to prolong this discussion i just wanna add my opinion but i don’t wanna start discourse or anything. imo it’s not about the amount of content a ship gets it’s also about other things too that play a big role in what people ship unfortunately. this doesn’t apply just in this case this is something i’ve observed in other fandoms too. race plays a big factor. in meichae’s case we have yoonchae who is the youngest but that’s not what gives people pause it’s the fact that she’s korean and they infantilize because of that. another example is manon and lara who are the dark-skinned girls in the group and it’s no coincidence that marz is lara’s biggest ship and manon’s biggest ship. yes we have the marz mia outro and tons of fanservice but so do other ships. like megara, solarz, maphinz, these ships have tons of fanservice and shippable moments. also let’s take danon for example it was an og duo (like meizini) but people prefer to ship meizini and sodani. you know what i mean? same with solarz and meifiz. solarz has so much more shippable content and they’re not a “mother-daughter duo” and yet people prefer to ship meifiz. same with megara they have the mia outro too and they’re besties and always hanging out and yet it doesn’t matter. anyway yeah i hope you get what i’m saying. just making an observation everyone is free to ship whatever they want ofc.
