I just had a mantis in my house, like. Inside, in the kitchen. In the ceiling. Very close to where I was gonna drink something.

My grandma came in and killed it with the broom (feel kind of bad abt that-) and when she killed it we realized it was a mantis.

I also learned that mantis can actually FLY- Like, all the time I only saw them in videos and they werent flying- It was weird, and cool. and kind of scary. but cool.

I think I found which one it is, I really like the mantis- Its this one I think- only three clues I had to find it were: where I live (which is mostly why when I saw it was a mantis I was really hyped-), the color it was, and the weird mark on its back

I TAKE IT BACK ITS STILL ALIVE-

Sooo- I went out, very bravely (lies), with a piece of paper to grab the poor bug, and when I grab the paper to lift said bug, I see it move its legs- I freaked out a little cuz- u know- it knows how to fcking fly. But then it just- stayed there, like, its still there even until now-

So since it was just staying still, almost menacingly, I went inside, grabbed my phone, and took a photo of it (also while fearing that, at any moment it wanted- it could fly directly at me-) and that made me really happy

Now I want a mantis pet, but thats probably too expensive, and it may fly at me, and I also dont know where I would put it, so no thanks. Maybe later in the future I'll get one
