It's Queen Bee

Uh, lot’s of crazy shit. haha. Various boyfriend issues…won homecoming queen..won a bunch of dance competitions…dyed my hair blue…got into Julliard…nothing too interesting, honestly. I’m kind of just waiting for graduation at this point.

Sounds like you’ve been crazy busy. Julliard??? That’s amazing holy shit. Congrats!

Why’d you choose to do it then. I didn’t even know you could do that without loosing like all your credits.

One of my professors and I didn’t really see eye to eye. It’s actually really easy if you have the right people helping you. 

They weren’t so bad. I got an apology cake and some coffee out of the whole mess. I think I’m on everyone’s good sides these days though. Yeah, it’s weird the way this place draws people back in. None of us can seem to keep away. Yikes, sounds messy. All good now though?

Apology cakes are the best cakes, next to red velvet. It’s very weird how we all get sucked into it so quickly. Not so much messy since I left and came here before it got messy. Everything is perfect now. 

Next time though. Maybe not, but it could be some other innocent person’s problem now… Sorry, I don’t mean to be on your back about it, I just hate the thought of some jerk like that not having to pay for his behavior… He’s out. And active. I haven’t had any personal run ins, perks of a restraining order that he’s surprisingly respecting, but I know some people who’ve gotten mixed up with him since.

It’s okay, I get it. It’s typical Drew to want to see something done about it. I’m just picking my battles. Karma is a bitch though, He’ll get what’s coming to him. ...oh... He’s not gonna care about me coming back. I’m probably the last thing on his mind. 

Well, you know how it goes. Always crazy in the Guthrie house. You missed some big blow out fights, but it’s probably best not to get into those. You and me both, Desousa. So what’s up with you? Reason for the sudden transfer?

Big blow out fights around here always end in some disaster. Oh nothing much at all. I did miss it here a lot though, surprisingly. I got my own place and everything. Oh yeah, my psych professor was a creep is all. 

Yeah, but what if the asshole starts to harass some other student? I’m all for staying out of drama, trust me, but there’s starting drama and then there’s staying safe… Which, speaking of, are you sure coming back to Toronto was the best idea? You know about Vince right?

I guess you’re right, but it’s too late now. I’m here and he’s there and I have no proof. It’s not my problem now. Uh No... what about him?

Yep. Honestly, I don’t even know. I just got the call from the local police that he was in custody again. I didn’t even bother to ask what he’d done, just how long they were keeping him. It’s looking like he’s got a few more years. Yeah. She’s sweet. I’ve gotten to spend a bit of time with her when she’s with Clare. Other than that I don’t spend a ton of time with the old crowd. I’m staying out of trouble for the most part. Mostly just busy with school honestly.

Wow that’s absolutely crazy. I’m glad you are keeping yourself out of trouble though. I’ve been trying to do the same, but we all know trouble just enjoys my company. 

And I thought we were past the days of not doing anything about harassment. Did you at least make a complaint with the school? Yeah, but the good kind of long. Thanks. That’s actually really good to hear. Yeah, maybe. 

I’m trying this new thing where I try to stay out of any drama, making a complaint sounds like extra drama. I just kind of cursed him out after a while and left. Yeah... You’re welcome Torres. 

Well I’ve only been back for about a year. Not even that yet I think. I moved back last June after my dad got arrested. Again. And I wasn’t really in touch with anyone while I was gone so I had some go of it getting back into the swing of things honestly. Did you hear about Drew and Clare?

Again?? What’d he do this time?? About their kid? Yeah he told me about it. 

The more you talk about this guy, the worse it’s sounding. As in, not sounding like it’s not a big deal… Yeah. We just hit the one year mark. Yeah, she’s the best, honestly. She definitely has me wrapped around her little finger. A year. and two months.

No honestly, It was just a little harassment, nothing I haven’t dealt with before I guess. That’s pretty long, Well I’m happy you’re happy. She sounds sweet, hopefully I can meet her one day.

Theeere we go. So how has it been since I left? I haven’t been in touch with a lot of people. Have you kept out of trouble?

That sounds… not good. You sure everything’s fine? Yeah, it feels like a lot longer… Uh, you know. Or, I guess you don’t. But, uh, I’m in school, and working. I have a girlfriend. Zoe. And a daughter. Hope. She’s, uh, mine and Clare’s, not Zoe’s. So there’s that.

He was taking a little too much of an interest in my... studies... So I left before it got too out of hand. But yeah everything is fine now that I’m here. Oh, you’re dating Zoe? That’s nice. Wow, a daughter...That’s sweet... Congrats Papa Torres. How old is she?

You better. Yes. This weekend. Coffee, lunch, party on campus, movie marathon, you name it we’ll do it.

I don’t hear a “Awe Bee, I love you too” Why can’t we just do all the above? 

Oh. Is everything okay?.. Yeah, like two years just about, right? I’m good. Really busy.

Just some problems with my old psych professor. No big deal. Wow, it feels longer... Busy? with what?

I can’t decide whether I could take that as a compliment or an insult.

Transferring universities in the middle of the semester might not have been my best moment. I’ve been working on the same psych assignment for hours, I think my brain has tuned into mush.
