After my caffeine overload I was awake all night so decided to film it! 

omg sorry this took me so long to respond to but i didn’t even rly know where to begin bc there are so many??? i’m not sure if they’re ‘significant’ but this is just a short list of moments that jst keep me up at night from time to time bc they’re so Good: 

1. that time dnp did a joint live show on october 19, 2015 and not only acknowledged their friendaversary but also dan went on the world’s most Extra rant about phil’s enjoyment of pumpkin spice lattes when like, literally, no one asked or came for phil about that ,,, i often find dan’s repeated ‘get over it get over it get over it … you cynic … gEt oVeR iT’ stuck in my head in random moments. that’s also the live show where dan went on the world’s second most Extra rant about the walking dead and the Themes and the Complexity for like 3 whole mins and phil sat there imitating all of his wild gesticulation until he literally got so fed up that he stops and rolls his eyes and follows up dan’s review with the fucking iconic: “my review is, it was alright” 

2. phil’s tweet and photo of dan celebrating the release of the tatinof films bc i was so sure they’d be having some sort of party, a flipside party at least, but instead this pic confirmed they were celebrating this huge release in the most dan and phil way possible: just sat together in their lounge dressed in onesies and drinking rose :) 

3. the ridiculously cute time that dan confirmed in a liveshow that phil had come w him to wokingham in 2011 to celebrate his mum’s birthday 

4. in 2014 when dan broke his and phil’s filming camera and tweeted about it while phil was out and phil replied 'do you want me to buy a glue stick on the way home’ bc like, what the fuck. cute 

5. in the making of tabinof video when they’re talking about writing in a hotel room in orlando and dan’s handling the camera and phil is basically all up on him to get in frame and and dan’s in socks and it’s all v soft and cozy 

6. ‘your eyes are like three colors at the same time. that’s a trick question. your eyes are blue, green, and yellow.’ (x)

7. ‘i’m obsessed with your curl dan. how did that form?’ (x) .. and really all of the pastel edits video

8. dan going out of his way to add the clip of phil spanking his ass with the plushy snake at the very end of the pinof 6 bloopers even tho ,, no one asked or needed that and it was obvi in the original ,, like why 

9. the fact that when dnp went shopping for the suits they were gonna wear to the brits in 2015 phil just needed to take a spontaneous pic of dan in the shirt he ended up picking, obvi bc he felt a pressing need to commemorate the moment and he thought dan looked beautiful:

10. iom for phil’s birthday this year was so great and obviously so was the fam vacay and whatnot but it’s sometimes easy to forget how long dan has been a part of the family, and so i often think about phil tweeting out that he was celebrating his birthday with his family and dan at “the coolest thai restaurant ever” all the way back in 2012, complete with photo: 

Summary: Dan is in one of his moods, and Phil, being the amazing boyfriend that he is, finds a great way to help Dan relax.

Dan was pouting from the minute he woke up that morning. No apparent reason. At least not as far as Phil could tell.

When Phil woke up it was to the sounds of a grumpy Dan terrorizing their kitchen.

He was familiar with that noise, knew it all too well. He had no doubt what was waiting for him when he would eventually leave the comfort of their bedroom.

The angry sound of plates clacking made him sigh and burry himself deeper in his pillow, closing his eyes and willing himself to go back to sleep.

Dan in a bad mood was not something easy to deal with, and Phil had to be well rested to tackle the task.

(For the anon who wanted something to do with Phil having inverted nipples and being embarrassed about them! I  wasn’t sure if you actually wanted me to write it, but here you go. Hope this is what you had in mind!)

Dan had known that something was up with Phil for a while, but he couldn’t quite figure out what. They’d only recently stumbled into a romantic relationship after years of friendship, and later, full-blown pining, and he was always worried about pushing things too far or crossing some invisible line. So when, during the first time they had sex, Phil stopped his hand as he tried to pull of the other’s shirt, his voice suddenly quiet and nervous as he insisted it stay on, he didn’t question it. He just wanted his boyfriend, his best friend, to be happy and comfortable. Still, he couldn’t help but notice from then on how Phil really only took his shirt off when changing, carefully facing away from Dan when he was in the same room. He remembered how, even when it was scorching hot in the middle of the summer and just the two of them were laying around in the apartment, he would still stayed fully clothed. Hell, he even wore a swim shirt on the rare occasions they actually ventured outside and went to the pool. Even if he wanted to let Phil have all the privacy he needed, it really was starting to worry Dan.

He hadn’t known Phil to have any real issues with his body or appearance in the past, but maybe he’d just been missing something. He desperately wanted to make things better, to show him that no matter what he thought was wrong with himself, Dan would love him unconditionally. He just didn’t know if something was actually up, or if he was just overthinking things. However, this uncertainty only lasted until he forgot to knock one day.

By then, they were more than a little comfortable with each other, so he just assumed that it would be fine if he just strolled into Phil’s room as usual without a warning. Instead of the lazy greeting he expected, he got a loud yelp and a shirt thrown right at his face.

“Hey! What the hell was that for? He asked, grabbing the shirt off his face and tossing it on the ground. He forgot his annoyance, however, at the look on Phil’s face.

He wore an expression not of surprise or anger, as Dan expected, but of pure, crushing embarrassment and shame. He was nearly hunched in front of the mirror, shirtless with his arms wrapped so tightly around his chest that it looked painful. Immediately, Dan took a step back, putting his hands up in a silent apology. He could tell that Phil really was uncomfortable, and he wanted to both find out why he was so nervous and to reassure him. They stared at each other for a moment, both sensing the sudden awkward tension in the air.

“Um… I’m not wearing a shirt, and you didn’t knock,” Phil said, shifting slightly.

“I can see that,” Dan answered, deciding right away that if there was a time to find out what had been worrying his boyfriend, it was now. “Look, Phil, I know something’s wrong. If you’ll just tell me what’s bothering you, I can help, I promise. You know I love you, and nothing about the way you look can change that. Well, if you were secretly a lizard person, then we might have to talk things out, but let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.” As he spoke, he moved slowly closer, relieved when Phil laughed softly and let him approach, loosening his grip around his chest just slightly.

“I know, I know. You don’t care what I look like, it’s just… weird.” He was clearly nervous, but Dan could tell he was getting somewhere.

“Let me see?” He may have been pushing it, but the risk paid off when, after a moment, Phil let his arms drop to his sides. Dan almost let out a relieved sigh at what he saw. He didn’t know what he’d been expecting, but he had been starting to get slightly worried about Phil’s actual health. Instead, he saw that he just had inverted nipples. Rather than pushing out, as most nipples did, they were just set inward. He knew, from one strange and sleepless midnight Wikipedia binge, that they were generally harmless, and normal to boot.

Dan realized he had been silent just a little too long when Phil started to turn away, bringing his arms up to cover himself once more.

“It’s fine if you think that it’s weird, I know it is. We can just pretend that none of this ever happened, and everything will-” His voice was filled with poorly-hidden disappointment, and Dan didn’t hesitate for even a second before pulling him into a gentle kiss. He wanted to show Phil that there was nothing wrong with him, and that he would be there for him no matter what. He pulled back after a moment, smiling softly at him.

“Hey, what did I say about loving you unconditionally? I think you’re beautiful, and handsome, and sexy, on top of being my best friend. I just want you to be happy, okay?” He waited until the other nodded before he continued, remembering something else he’d read. “Actually, I heard that stimulation makes them come out, right?” He trailed his hands up Phil’s sides, grinning as that earned him a shiver.

“I-I think so, yeah,” Phil panted, and Dan was rather proud of how breathless he sounded already, and they hadn’t even gotten to the fun part yet. He began to kiss softly at Phil’s neck, distracting him as his hands circled, ever so slowly, towards his nipples. When, at last, he was close enough to touch them, he pressed gently on the right one. Instantly, Phil let out a filthy moan, before clapping his hands over his mouth as his face flushed. Dan raised an eyebrow at him, smirking.

“You’re pretty sensitive, huh?” He asked, repeating the gentle pressure on both sides as they slowly began stiffened beneath his fingertips.

“It’s not like I’ve touched myself there before, because of…” His voice was little more than a whine, and Dan was hard in his pants already. Just seeing how much Phil was enjoying this, seeing how easy it was to make him lose it, was enough for him.

Now that they were erect, he carefully pinched one nipple between his finger and thumb, pressing harder when he let out a loud whine, hands clawing desperately at Dan’s shoulders. His nipples were fully out now, though Phil didn’t seem aware enough to notice that at the particular moment. It was almost intoxicating to see how responsive he was as he rolled the hard nubs between his fingers. “Dan, Dan, please, I need you, please-” Phil begged, only to be shushed softly by Dan, who was more than willing to give him exactly what he wanted. He circled his tongue around one nipple slowly, before finally, finally giving in and laving his tongue over it. Phil’s reaction was immediate; his grip tightened on Dan’s hair as he moaned, only urging him on more. After a moment he switched to the other nipple, this time closing his mouth around it and sucking, hard. He kept his mouth carefully sealed onto it for a moment, enjoying the noises above him. He thrust forward with his hips after a moment, giving into his own desire after a moment and grinding into Phil even as he continued to lick and suck at his nipples. He could hardly believe how much Phil was getting off on this, though he certainly wasn’t complaining. He was writhing now, panting with abandon. He was even making those soft whiny noises he always did before coming, and Dan wondered if it would be possible to get him to orgasm by touching his nipples alone.
