Currently we are working on more items.Â
Items will give you great advantages and define how you play a run. Lets take a closer look at some of these Items:

Incinerator
Ever felt the lust to evaporate annoying persons? Then incinerator is for you. Is does a similar thing - but just more violent. You gain a small percentage chance that on hit, enemies burst in flames and die instantly. Sounds great doesn't it?
Capitalist Gun
The capitalist gun empowers you through kills. The more you kill the higher the chances that the effect triggers. Once it triggered, you fire with more attack speed and crit chance, for a short amount of time.
Golden Marbles
The Golden Marbles are a critical hit, stack item. On every hit that is not a crit you raise your chances to make a crit. Once you did a critical hit, this temporary buff will reset to normal. This item plays best with high attack speed weapons like the mini-gun.
Inverted Magnet
Are you more of a melee range person? Check out the inverted magnet. You get a small damage aura around you which also adds a little knock back in the mix.
Moustache extension
Do you have a small one? Look no further - get an extension! It adds attack speed and therefor raises your damage output. Additional you get Style points - like a S.I.R.
Everybody loves Upgrades, right?Â
They make you better and stronger, and enhance the already stunning version of yourself...Â
So let us introduce botlike's upgrade system to you: The upgrade system is fueled by the new currency - circuits - which are much harder to gain then the common scraps you find on every corner.
Right now you will find them very rarely in normal enemies and with a high spawn chance in chest's and Bosses. Once we've got the champion system implemented (later in the early access phase), the random champions will be your main source of circuits.
When you die (and unfortunately you will) and be re-constructed in the base you can visit the upgrade merchant and buy upgrades for circuits. In this implementation of the system you can see every available upgrade from the start. This is subject to change, because we are planning to bring in blueprints - which you first have to collect to unlock certain upgrades in the base. The upgrades are varying in benefit and price and are all W.I.P.
Here a few examples:
Increase crit chance
Increase armor
Magnet radius
Keep scraps when die
etc.
We are planing to extend the upgrades with more additions once we are in Early Access. This System brings a lot more depth to the game and drastically raise the replayability. Hopefully you guys like it too.

We´ve been at the Magnology to showcasing botlike to the public for the first time. It was a blast! We´ve got a lot of positive feedback and a few good hints for improvements.
Special thanks to the little boy in the red shirt who acted like a true fanboy. He used every gap between the other playing visitors the get another try.

The Magnology is a Manga and Games Convention located in our hometown Hamburg.
Besides a lot of cool indiegames and Manga artist you could find a lot of amazing cosplayers to round up the event.
The feedback we gathered was all around very positive! The people who found our little booth were really loving it - even though nobody was able the reach the first boss. But we kinda expected that since we are building this game around a roguelike design philosophy.
Some detailed feedback we will take a deeper look into are: - Flying enemies are not visible enough when not moving - Playing with a controller works but needs some detail polishing (we just recently integrated controller support) - Interface was sometimes not self explaining (we already have a draft for an alternative version we will show you soon)
The player really liked: - the "tight controls" - the atmosphere - the art style and world - and of course the shooting!
We are working on the merchantBot right now.Â
 A Collector, wanderer and gearhead, who will equip you with fine tools and firepower.Â
He will randomly spawn multiple times in one level. You can use your collected scraps (currency) to buy Weapon upgrades, items, ammunition and health orbs. After you bought everything you want the merchant will leave the war zone fast :).

Here is a W.I.P. of the first boss *Spoiler alert* :)
This little fellow will guard an old mech-graveyard. We will work on coloring, animation and effects next.
Introducing a flying enemy bot who will shoot slow but nasty plasma bullets. Our aim with this enemy is, to drive the pace in the direction of a classic bullet hell. We will add more variants of this one - probably one with a laser and one with rockets.Â
Now with more and more going on and hurting stuff flying around, Â S.I.R. feels a limited in his movement - so we thinking about giving him a dash. This dash would make him invincible due the movement and should bring much improvement to the pace of the game.
Simultaneously we are working on the boss for the first biom! He is going to be huge :)

We had some crazy weeks, with a lot of work. As mentioned before we went to a small local indiedev exhibition to show our build to a slightly larger audience for the first time.
With that deadline in mind we put in some extra work to get as much into the game es possible.
What we achieved in short:
New flying enemy type
Reworked Jumping behavior (The wall jump still felt clumsy)
Spike trap
Weapon balancing
loot/ pickup feedback
Loading screen animation

(Our original sound designer had some bigger health issue and couldnât continue on the project) Â Â
Now we have a new sound crew on board which are already worked out a new WIP sound build (More details on the sound topic very soon)

The feedback from the players on the event was quite positive with a few new critique points on our list we will dig into.

Nils worked on this for quite a long time - but we are now pretty exited about it. It gives the player a good vibe before starting into the game.

- We have a new sound team on board and they already work hard on the sound design. We will tell more details as soon as the paperwork is done :)Â
 - We will go on a first exhibition with botlike and show the game for the first time outside of our four walls. We are a little nervous because it is a pre-alpha build and we lack a little of content but it is important to get feedback!
