DESTINATION UNKNOWN

the first thing to know about lisbeth salander  ,    and the one thing that stands out above all else is  ;    they are not ordinary.  hardwired differently  ,    with a laundry list of problems that people have used to justify salander’s ineptitude.  and on the list of things that lisbeth had dealt with  ,    this certainly does not rank up there.

pierced bottom lip caught between their teeth in contemplation.  not an entirely unpleasant invitation  ,    and not unpleasant company.  lisbeth always worries how other people will view them.  but facts about their life kept well hidden  ,    not that appearances could always be considered flattering.  they have been given an out  ,    which lisbeth appreciates.  hates being backed into a corner.  acts much like an injured  /  feral animal when they are.

❛  okay.  ❜     a minute nod of their head.  the booth would also provide some protection against the crowd which they won’t turn down.  does worry they won’t be the best company.  already a surprise they have talked so much.  could clam up at any moment.  but they’ve also got friends that don’t mind the oddity that is lisbeth salander.  anyone else's opinion is inconsequential.

the vestiges of a small smile and a shrug of leather coated shoulders is all lisbeth gives in combination to their acceptance.

  okay, so not a talker.  anna could work with that, she talked plenty as is --- so sharing the conversation would be a pain anyway.  she’s still abuzz with energy from her show, the rounds of applause and the flowers thrown onto the stage !  can’t help the excitement that runs through her, the way her eyes glisten now that her contacts have been removed.  she would nearly look normal if her celebrity status weren’t known to the two of them.

  ponytail swings as she walks, gesturing for the other ( she’ll ask for a name in a hot minute, but what was really in a name anyway ? )  to follow her up the stairs to the vip booth.  it was more of a room than anything.  the security guy gets a smile and a wink as well as the soft words that the other was with her.  he could take what he wanted about that.  he was just doing his job after all and she had the money to smooth the way for them.  she had bought out the vip area for the night after all.

  there’s an unopened bottle of vodka on the table, but next to it lays an opened bottle of tequila.  had she already hit the bottle a little ?  possibly, but only in post show celebrational shots.       ❝ me casa e su casa.  take whatever you like ! ❞        it’s stuff she’ll pay for at the end of the night, as well as a large tip, but it’s chump change to her.  styles of the rich and famous and all that.  anna herself goes for the fireball whiskey, carefully pouring herself the scarcest amount, just to pluck at the senses.

chance encounters.  it’s always how she seems to meet the most interesting people.  but seeing them for the second time ?  it was generally unlikely, not with her touring and general celebrity.  if the person was a celebrity too, they could always organize phone numbers and the ilk through managers, but this was different.  ten minutes before a show started, had only headed out the back for a smoke because she hadn’t had one on the way over like she usually did. 

  not everyone got her big beaming smile, which was probably a lot more discerning than usual because of all the contacts as well as her outfit.  she looked outlandish in an alleyway and she was quite aware of that fact.  maybe they were meant to meet, or maybe this was a bunny boiler moment.  she didn’t know but she wanted to find out.  couldn’t help that sometimes her life was run by her need for touch.  she doesn’t even realize how quickly time has gone until her PA appears, telling her that she opens in two minutes.  shit !  words rush out of her mouth as she crushes cigarette underfoot, takes one look at lisbeth before smiling again.

an important thing to note is that anna is from a high profile australian family.  you’ll see her at events like gday USA and all that kind of thing, promoting australia and being super australian.
