 So now, we have confirmation from Jen, Adam and Eddy and Colin that Captain Swan was planned all along since the beginning. 

Just a little reminder of what Jen said: 

“I kind of knew at some point it was coming,” says Morrison of the big kiss, which happens in Once Upon a Time’s Hook-centric Oct. 27 episode. ”I knew from all the way back, when they brought both Michael Raymond-James and Colin O’Donoghue on, that it was always the intention to create some sort of love triangle with the two of them and Emma…having a very legitimate pull between those two men.” [x]

Then, we have Adam and Eddy: 

Did you always intended to have Hook in love with Emma? Was that something you planned out or was it something that developed because of the actor’s chemistry onscreen?

Eddy: Always.

Adam:  Always. I mean, listen… You go into these things with the best intentions. That is to say we loved the idea that Hook and Emma would be kindred spirits and that is why we kind of wrote that in the beanstalk episode of season 2. But of course, you know, there’s always the chance that there isn’t any chemistry. We were very lucky that we feel that Hook and Emma have an enormous amount of chemistry so that kind of allowed us to stick to the plan that we wanted. [x]

And now, we have Colin: 

“How much of the script do you know of in advance? Did you know that you would fall in love with Emma? “ C: I suppose I kind of knew at the start when I first met Eddy and Adam, who created the show, who kind of knew that the character [of Hook] would be a part of a love triangle…” [x]

Our Pirate King and Queen and the Gods who created Captain Swan, Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis, all confirming that this was planned from the beginning and also, tearing apart the fan service argument. 

I’m guessing you haven’t watched all the episodes yet and also that you are new to having doomed ships judging by your reaction, so I’M SORRY?? and I understand THEY KILL ME TOO, EVERY DAY. (although I’d say Jeff/Annie are much less doomed than most, a canon confirmation that Jeff is in love with Annie is already more than I thought we’d ever get from Dan Harmon when I was in the fandom during s2-3 era) I want the movie but there’s no guarantee that they will get together in it too, but even without the movie their ending is very hopeful, chin up, my friend :D
