The Mindy Project creator, executive producer and star Mindy Kaling has teamed with the series’ executive producer Charlie Grandy for a single-camera sibling comedy, which has been snatched b…

Has Danny always been this big of a dick?
When I think of him, I love the character. I don’t think of him as a dick. I know a lot of people see it [that way] and I understand why they do; they have every right to. To me, it’s like, what he’s done, his beliefs and all the things that he’s said, they are some things that people aren’t a fan of, but he seems really real to me.
I think he’s always been a guy who’s thought things that are unpopular. He’s always said things that are going to be a little controversial. At times he’s been not very feminist, but what has been nice about the character is that he’s always really challenged Mindy.
[He] is a charismatic person, who challenges you, you think is your level, who makes you a better person in a lot of different ways … it’s complicated. He has a lot of bad qualities too and so does Mindy. She’s said some even worse stuff than him.
Do you think that Mindy and Danny will ever get to a point where they can be friends?
I think that they are friends now. They have a friendship that’s very fraught. There’s a lot of stuff that they do to each other that is very toxic, but there are certain things that they turn to each other for that they wouldn’t turn to anyone else for. They also both think the other is a good parent, which is something that we don’t talk in the show about a lot because it’s not funny to be like, “Hey, Danny, I think you’re a good father.” That’s kind of what redeems them a lot in the show, is that regardless of how they are with each other romantically, they both know that they are good parents.
So why aren’t the fans anti Ben because he isn’t Danny?
Ben is a decent guy, likeable and charming. Oh yeah, and I have given up on Danny who isn’t really Danny just his evil twin Lanny and Danny is dead HEADCANON

nursetookers reblogged your post and added:
You DO realize this is a fictional character, right?
Just checking.
I’m judging Mindy Lahiri (a fictional character whose feelings I’m not hurting) as another mom. Being away from your kid all day long is hard for most working moms, especially when they’re so little. Bedtime can be a real bonding time with babies. I just can’t fathom why she would leave her kid with a nanny all day long, then not take those few precious minutes she has with him at night to actually be his mommy. Especially when she IS a single mom, meaning she doesn’t have Leo at home with her every night. Handing him off to the nanny for bedtime is a little too hands-off for my taste.
I said nothing about Danny’s parenting style. He’s probably not much better. What I AM saying is that his points during their fight in Parent Trap were spot on. Though to be fair, Mindy did warn him that she wanted a million nannies to take care of their kids. Guess that wasn’t just a joke after all…
Do I realise this is a fictional character? I’m aware, yes. And since you, too, are, you have to understand your experience as a mum has nothing to do with this fictional character. Not everything has to be relatable. I also wasn’t talking about Danny’s parenting style either. Only about how he didn’t want Mindy to be ambitious when he still got to be a doctor. Anyway. Let’s agree to disagree.
why does jody feel entitled that mindy owes him something?? she doesnt owe you jack shit bye.
