The air feels lighter, I feel lighter.

I am not angry, and I am not dwelling in my sadness. This isn't a post to say, "I am healed."

I am not healed, I am better. Regrets weigh heavy about how I seemingly unplugged myself from the world and the people I love the most. The things I love most. I don't feel sorry for myself anymore, I feel sorry for allowing myself to get so lost. As if the person I was died in front of me, and I'm rising above looking down with all the best pieces of myself that I've had since the beginning.

I am no longer a child of the moon, I wake up early with the sun, I wake with purpose. A purpose I didn't think I had, but the longer I'm away from the places where these bad memories have lived, the more I realize how entangled in them I was.
