So like just finished the dragon republic and like wtf was no one going to warn me I cried wtf was that ending anyways…already got the next book

No cause like I’m 200 pages into the dragon republic and I already know this is gonna be gut wrenching like no my poor babies and altan buddy stop haunting the narrative like every three pages it’s like “it was altan again” like ahhhhh let me recover

So I wanna start writing and practicing how to write because my grammar is terrible but I really enjoy writing so if you have any prompts please send them to me so I can practice they won’t be like amazing but I really want to try and I’m open to constructive feedback

Currently thinking about the complexity that was altan trengsin, R.F kuang is a genius at writing a character with so much depth that you don’t even know what to feel. Altans character was so amazing and so layered to the point my feelings towards him were so mixed and that made me love his character so much because it really reflected humanity with all its flaws and imperfections. Like watching altan go from this guy who was constantly praised, loved, and adored always put on a pedestal. Then getting to know him and getting to know all the things that made him terrible made me fall in love with his character so much more then if he was kept as a flawless person who was the pinnacle of perfection. And at first it really makes you believe he is perfect even once rin makes it to the cike but then seeing him crack under pressure and then all the ugly things starting to seep out, things no one saw before.
