My body drifted off in your ocean eyes.
I found serenity in your gaze; then you blinked..
You started a storm, and my soul drowned in your iris.

God was yelling at me this morning, yall 😂
Seriously though, your faith isnt going to get stronger if you continue to dance around the law. Picking and choosing what to follow. The more you try to justify your sins, the harder your heart will become, and the further from Jesus you will be.
Own your mistakes and focus on the wrong you did, not to shame you or make you feel guilt but to give you peace in knowing your forgivness is immediate, and Jesus doesnt keep record of it any longer.
You know how sometimes your prayers feel unheard? Yeah, thats probably because you are focusing on the wrong things. Praying to be saved, but completley omitting the reason you ended up needing that saving.
You cannot grow your faith if you run from accountability.
Know what you did, give it to Jesus, and trust that He will better you situation and give you the answers you pray for.

The Boy Who Followed His Father into Auschwitz by Jeremy Dronfield
A haunting story about a boy and his father who are arrested by gestapo and sent to work camps, but when his father is being taken to a death camp the boy makes an incredibly brave and selfless decision to go with him. Their journey through the camps and the love that kept them fighting to stay together is a story worth reading and telling to others, forever.
This book also highlights the UK and the US people's willingness to ignore the jewish cry for help and believe nazi propaganda. These countries turned a blind eye to those seeking refuge from death.
I highly recommend this book to those who want a story about survival and love. One that does not lie about the atrocities commited by the nazi's and their supporters, and those who let it continue for so long.

When I say I am appalled, I mean truly I am so horrified.
The novel as a whole isn't scary, or guy-wrenching. It's the ending that really just throws you for a loop.
This isn't one of those books that just tells a story for shock value. It definitely has deeper meaning and a greater message to share. The main theme of the book is control. How much we crave it and try to exercise control in all that we do, even to a point where we begin to lose our humanity and become things we don't even recognize.
If you aren't squeamish or easily disgusted, then I highly recommend this book. It's a quick read but I suggest you take your time with it and really try to understand the message it leaves behind.

This was such a good read! It was a new genre for me so it took me a fee chapters to actually get into it and enjoy it, but the author writes the characters well. Theres magic and myths and kings, and a little romance. Its a great place to start if youre interested in diving into a syfy/fantasy novel!
There is a second part to this one, so hopefully soon i’ll be able to continue the story.

oh to be a poet and live in france
Very few books have made me cry, and this one here I am adding to that small list.
It is a good gossip story filled with heartbreak, love, laughter, humiliation, jealousy and so much more! It’s a new genre for me; I found myself loving more with each page turn! The author uses a writing style I find so engaging. Not to mention the betrayal and sadness that takes over the last half of the story.
And to think I let this book collect dust on my shelf for years. Makes me wonder what other beautiful stories I have waiting for me there.
