HOSEA

We as humans are privileged to many things in life and we often take things for granted. As we grow and develop with God and in his sight, we will learn many things, experience difficult times and encounter problems. However as we mature we need to know the right path to take from the mistakes learnt.

Hosea forgave his wife... and God forgave Israel.

Forgiveness is the key to restoring a relationship. But of course, you do not need to forgive someone on such a large scale. Take small steps as if you are forgiving someone who had lied to you. Only then can you continue from where you left off ✨

This quote is so powerful because today's modern society tends to take God for granted. He is there. He is alive. He is alive within us. He is everywhere. He is there in times of need. God can HELP you. You just need to let him in

Hosea' faithful love towards Gomer and the pain felt from her infedility was to convey God's faithfulness and his pain from Israel's waywardness. Despite their unfaithfulness to the covenant, God still loved the people of Israel and yet nonetheless, Israel needed God's initiative to restore their relationship

     God’s purpose for this tragic marriage was to confront Israel and their sin of unfaithfulness towards him, their Lord, from leaving the covenant. 

> God commanded Hosea to marry a woman whom was told to be unfaithful. > Hosea married to Gomer, who later on left him for another man. > Hosea was devastated > Gomer eventually became a prostitute > God commanded Hosea to pay for her freedom and take her back > Hosea willingly took her back into his arms lovingly
