I just realized that the attempt to make people accept AI feels most to me like Milo Minderbinder in Catch-22 trying to feed people chocolate covered cotton, because he over-invested in it and can't get rid of it. If you haven't read the novel please do, I picked it up on a whim maybe 20 years ago having heard it was good and it did not disappoint. Just be ready because it can give you whiplash between being hilarious and very dark and heavy in parts.
