Thanks so much for making this scene even more sad than in the original. He could've escaped and lived the life he wanted. Also this may be the reason they say never bring a knife to a gun fight.

You know what as much as I don't like the amount of focus we are getting on Max Hastings and family I love that Rosie is standing up for herself and not taking anymore bullshit. As she should I know there's no way I would been able to put with it as long as she did.

I don't like how this is the reason there's blood on Jamie's jumper. It's meant to be a thing from Layla so I'm hoping we get more of the Layla getting Jamie to do whatever she wants.

Do I'm wanting a scene where Dan just hits Max in the face, I don't care that it's not in the book he fucking deserves it. I don't get how the blackmail is still going on. Can't he just deny the allegations, and say Max is lying to make Dan look bad. Also one last thing to add the this part it's an interesting development that Dan and Pip are now teaming up, that definitely add a layer to this that I'm looking forward to seeing.

There two things about this scene that are annoying me that they're different from the book.

This is why you don't remove characters from an adaptation when their presence is required later on. Also this is the detective work that I was hoping for in s2

Why the fuck is this exchange happened in broad daylight for anyone to witness. Like these lot are not even trying to hide

First change that's pissed me off so far. That they haven't gone to the police yet I thought the whole point of seeing Pip about Jamie is the police already refusing to look into it.

Before I even start watching I just want to put it out there that I'm so interested in how they are going to do this season considering Stanley is not in s1.

I am so welcome for this change. Not just because Connor one of my favourite characters and I feel like we barely saw him last season but also I love the earlier focus on Jamie. To make in better I also love a murder mystery.

Jamie and Pip talking and we get to see Jamie lashing out over the phone firsthand. 10 mins in but I'm already preferring this season.

40 mins left and I'm still waiting for more Beca Bell. I'm waiting for the moment when it clicks that they don't know where Andie is still. That Elliot didn't actually kill her just give her the head injury. Also for the Max Hastings rapist reveal but I'm doubtful that will happen.

I don't know if I like this choice that the girl knows she's not Andie. It definitely makes Elliott way more in the wrong that he straight up kidnapped a random blond girl. A lot of why that made sanse in the book is because she thought she was Andie and went along with it and now I'm curious how he managed that.

No they didn't. That didn't happen. I prefer that in the book they leave it more ambiguous if Andie and Dan slept together. Like it could've definitely been something that she made up to spite Nat but in the show he just straight up admits it. Also again with the impulsively accusing people without evidence.

I wasn't going to write anything for this episode because I'm feeling sick but that interview with Sal is actually not ok. First of all it's another instance of evidence just falling into her lap. Also Sal in the book wasn't even angry he was upset and trying to protect Andie by not telling them the truth of why they were arguing. And at the time the interview took place he would have still had his alibi so there was absolutely no reason for the police to accuse him like that. This has pissed me off the most out of all of the changes because it reenforces what Little Kilton think of Sal and I just can't stand that they made him out to be aggressive and defensive rather than heartbroken over his girlfriend going missing.

Why is this guy just giving her the info. I feel like at this point Pip has barely done any actual detective work and sneaking. How is she meant to blackmail How is if she literally just meets him immediately. Also what is he doing at a high school party.

OK do I'm so pissed off now. Have they actually got rid of Stanley Forbes. The one who sent threatening messages was Becca but now I'm wondering how she got Pip's number if not through Stanley. If they got rid of him then what are they going to do about the next season when he's such an important part of good girl bad blood. That makes no sense to me.

Not really an inconsistency but I know there's no way the book version of Pip would be walking around a house she broke into wearing shoes.

I remember hating this from the fist time I watched this show but why the fuck are Nat and Andie friends. As if I the book Andie didn't bully her relentlessly multiple times, try to ruin hers and her brother's lives and get everyone else to isolate her too. It also then doesn't make as much sense to me that she is a suspect. I'll wait a bit longer but she needs to be on the suspect otherwise theres no reason for her to hate on Pip.

I realised that Pip should've interviewed Elliot Ward already. I see that he obviously knew she was investigating the case but still with him having been interviewed it made more sense that he wrote the threat. And he didn't even do it, what's the point of him sneaking through the woods then.

Right now I'm not really liking this version of Ravi too much. In the book he was so excited to finally have an excuse to prove Sal's innocence. Maybe it's just that it'll take him longer to trust her but I do hope they didn't change his personality too much given that him and Cara are my favourites in the book.

OK I change my mind Ravi is still one of my favourite characters but it seems he's just a bit more closed off than the book version, which does make sense. I really want to see a smile from him though.

I don't understand why they would do this reveal so early on isn't part of the mystery not only who killed Andie but also how it happened.

I really do love the damn casting like this is the gang minus Ant. Aside from the fact that the main character is played by an American but I let it slide this once because I've loved Emma Myers since about 2022.

I'm going to say right now that I do not like how she went straight to I'm going to solve the case. In the book the reason she did the EPQ on the case is to clear Sal's name and I don't understand how she can cover it up in the project. The only thing I'm seeing about her knowing about Sal and Andie is the whole she met them once and never forgot it. To be fair I'm not going to jump to conclusions yet and give it a chance. If the reasoning is what I think (being annoyed by how different the town treats Andie and Sal).

I'm surprisingly not that mad that pip is meeting Becca before she becomes close with Ravi. Considering she didn't get onto the right foot with her in the book I'm interested to see how this plays out.

I know this is a really stupid thing to be pissed off about but I can't believe the exiled Ant from the friend group. Not just because Lauren is not meant to date him until later on but also in the second book part of the betrayal of him accusing Pip of lying is the fact that he is friends with them already. He did know Jamie. He was friends with Pip and Connor before. (Oh, shit never mind if Ant plays the role that ex bf Tommy did then they really did get rid of him. How sad.)

Can't wait to criticise the shit out of the tv show when it comes out, I just wish I had the next book so I could read it immediately.

So of course the first thing I noticed about how the movie is different it the book is that they completely changed the prologue. This was upsetting to me tbh because it is one of my favourite parts of the book. It was somewhat of a missed opportunity to use the live stream footage as some of it.

Other than that the prologue in the book is pretty much perfect imo. It establishes the main characters in a way that to me felt natural and shows how they act when no adults are around.

The last thing I didn't like about the film version is how they got rid of gingers introduction (my favourite side character).

However there are surprisingly some things that rereading the book I preferred how they were in the film. First off Victoria aka haunting the narrative final boss. When I watched the movie I hated how they don't include her except one mention. Now I'm thinking it kinda adds to it in the sense that Cole is literally compared to his sister who none of the viewers have seen.
