Either Sophie's trying a weird way to be a plumber, or someone should do something...

Continued from Fused Frenemies A.B.B.B...
After a moment, the pool of liquid Sophie started to ripple, and form a bulge in the middle. Sophie's face, previously spread across the entire surface, shrank and centered in the middle of the bulge of liquid.Â
Holly and Phoebe watched, the former with excitement, the latter with curiosity, as Sophie began to find a way to pull herself together despite her liquid form. After a moment of collecting herself, literally, in the middle of the tub, Sophie was roughly bean-shaped, but little trails of her liquid occasionally roll into the tub below her. Sophie seemed to feel each time part of herself trickled onto the cold surface of the tub, her blobby form undulating as she flinched. Her face looked annoyed as she pulled each trail back in, but she was definitely making progress!
Holly walked up to the tub and gave Sophie four thumbs up. "You're doing great!" she encouraged Sophie with a smile.
Sophie smiled back, then with a noticeable amount of effort, popped her face up and out of her main blob, a spurt of bright red flowing out from behind her face as her head and "hair" shaped out of her constituent liquid. She opened her mouth as if to yawn, soundlessly, but then a second time, grunted as if finding her voice, because, as it turns out, she was.
"Nguah! Okay, good, I can talk!" Sophie said. "Hi. This is weird, like I'm melted, but I can still control myself, kinda. I just feel...really heavy. Or really weak, I guess?"
"Being liquid will do that," Phoebe commented unhelpfully.
Holly tapped her chin. "I think I have a dumb idea that might work."
"Well then it's not dumb, right?" Sophie proposed.
"I could dump a whole crapload of cornstarch into you as a thickener to make you more viscous," Holly explained.
"Okay yeah that is pretty dumb after all," Sophie admitted.
"I mean, right now you're basically a paint-like consistency, but being something more like cake batter would be better, yeah?" Holly asked.
"Are you going to put me in the over afterward?" Sophie snarked back.
"Oh chill," Holly said as she turned to leave. "I'll be right back! We might as well try with the cornstarch we already have."
Holly trotted out of the bathroom, Phoebe retracting herself to get out of her way, leaving Sophie in the bathroom alone for a minute or two.
Sophie looked down at her liquid body. She was already used to being rather...fluid in form, but not literally, only metaphorically. If this cornstarch idea worked, at least she would be less...messy.
But maybe stronger too? How strong was she in this form? Sophie eyed the drain cover of the tub. It wasn't too heavy, right? Could she pull it free? It's not like she was going to plunge down into it, right? She was in much more control now.
Impatient to learn her current limits, Sophie protruded a column of flesh from her main body, forming a mitten-like hand at the end of it. Unsatisfied, she split the mitten into four, giving herself five fingers! Five drippy fingers, she realized, as a couple drops of herself splatted onto the tub below her new hand.
Sophie formed a second arm and hand, and reached down to touch the small puddle of her flesh. She could feel the tub through the disconnected portion of herself, and that was interesting in and of itself, but as soon as she touched the puddle, she felt it start to "soak" back into her hand. At least she could clean herself up easily.
Extending her arms like she so frequently did even before becoming a living puddle, Sophie grabbed the chain on the drain cover. With a small tug, she managed to lift it off the bottom of the tub, but not dislodge it. Frustrated, Sophie pulled with both hands, and still felt a nearly insurmountable level of resistance. Sophie frowned and leaned forward, prepared to put all her weight into this task. She pulled with all her might, meager as it was.
It popped out! But Sophie also swung backwards, toppling onto the back of the tub and splashing over the edge, her arms getting cut off by the edge of the tub and splashing onto the bathroom floor. Sophie's back also splashed on impact with the back of the tub, the liquid Sophie settling into a puddle around her body...
...and some sliding down the drain.
"Ah! No!" Sophie cried out, immediately forming a new pair of arms to pull as much of the puddle into herself as she could. She clawed at the puddle, pulling most of the errant fluid towards her body as she could, and out of desperation, she tensed the trail of herself that had already entered the drain. There was a big gob down there, suspended by a single, drinking-straw-width strand of her body mass, against gravity. It was too much to hold onto with so little, but she didn't want to risk losing more of herself by sending more mass down there to reinforce the strand. With a small grunt of defeat, the strand snapped, sending the portion of Sophie tumbling down the drain, Sophie still able to feel it as it passed further and further down into the sewage system...
