Hi, I love your art! Your lineart is so beautifully done... What kind of wacom do you use? Do you use a cintiq? I wanted to start drawing digitally too but I am afraid I only have the money to buy one of those that don't have a screen, and it kinda scares me that I won't be able to draw well.
Hey hey hey! Thank you so much for the compliment âĽI use a Bamboo Fun pen and touch (by wacom) and it has no screen. Yes, itâs easier to draw on a cintiq/ipad where it feels more like paper drawing and you can actually see where your hand goes, but with some practise you can do lineart just as well with a no screen tablet, donât worry!Â

Will you participate in adrinette month? I really want to see your amazing art work if you have time of course đ
Aaaww, thatâs so sweet of you!
I really want to participate but school work is not really on my side right now. I will try really hard to find the time and contribute with some fanart, I always wanted to participate in these things.
SEVENTEEEN? any advice for a uh wayward thirteen your old trying to find their place in the world(*whispering*i mean drawing advice)
haha hello! well I still haven´t found my self in the world so i donât really know if I can help haha. but I do get what you mean.Â
A long text is coming (I got out of control ahah), read at your own risk!
I think you should start by finding something you like and draw it (a fandom, an art style, etcâŚ) I started drawing in my 13â˛s because I was inspired by artists in the How to train your Dragon and the Rise of the Guardians fandom, slowly I became more and more into 3d and 2d animation and that´s what did it for me! I watched toooons of video tutorials and time lapse paintings on youtube regularly and step by step I would learn to draw the characters. It takes a lot of patience though but itâs worth it and the sooner you start the better.
I came up with the ideia of becoming an animator when I realised it was possible and worked a lot to learn how to draw like other artists in the community. However, itâs taking me a long time to find my place since I keep growing and my ideas keep changing. Because I would look up to very distinct artists and try to draw like them itâs taking me a long time to find my own style, but the good thing is that I can draw and paint in many different styles so I have my options open and I am not even sad for not sticking to only one style as many people do because I feel like I learned a lot in different areas and I can take any challenge!Â
Later I realised that what I did, wasnât only (and not even) animation but illustration as well and I dream mixing illustration and animation together as job in the future. Character design and concept art also got me very excited when I discovered them and i want to work on that too! Now, in high school, I am learning design and webdesign and really love this area as well and probably will end up working on it the future since my country doesnât really have any big animation industries. What I am trying to say is, itâs difficult to find your place in the art world. You might want to be something now but tomorrow youâll learn new things and possibilities and you will be something different. The best you can do as an artist is develop your skills not only in one style but many styles such as different areas of the art world. Watch as many tutorials as you can find to learn more, practise a lot and look up to other artists whose art makes you feel good and makes you want to be like them. Youâll never be exactly like a specific artist that you admire but a mix of many of them. Eventually you will also develop your own unique style but that takes a long time and when you find it and look back you will know it was all worth it.Â
Draw what you love and what makes you feel good, let other people see the interpretations of your ideias and opinions visually, donât stress too much if you donât know if your doing things right as time passes you will learn your ways. And most importantly, never give up on your art, try to draw everyday even if it is in a little post it or in a schoolâs book, each drawing is important for you to make even better ones!I am also very sorry for writing so much, but for a 13 year old artist starting out i think this is important to read. I hope I answered your question!Â
