I’m 16, neurodivergent, and alterhuman

My kintypes are a snow leopard, blonde border collie, a red/brown fox, a coastal/brown wolf, a harbor seal, and a ghost/shadow figure

My hearttypes are a timber wolf, a cryptid, and a male deer/stag

I am also a heariven [fluidity between human, partially nonhuman, and fully nonhuman states] and speciesflux [fluidity in the intensity of one's alterhuman identities]

I identify as queer in every sense of the word, weird, strange, and all. My alterhuman identities connect deeply to my gender, the craving to be less human and therefore not applying to any sort of gender norms.

✨. I suppose phasing through walls, float, and being able to be invisible and all that would count as powers? Just the usual ghostly traits hahah

🪡. I pretty directly identify as a shadow figure, sometimes with glowing eyes, sometimes not. Along with being translucent with im not a shadow figure (I believe i can switch between shadow and regular ghost)

🥀. I don’t believe so, though I do mix up the urges sometimes as I try to explore my identity. I thought I was a zombie or man-eating ghost because I was getting hunting/killing urges, but now i think those were more wolfy urges, because when I think about it, those aren’t connected to my ghost identity at all

📼. Not really, I’d love some recommendations though! I love horror as a genre, but I haven’t really connected any of them with my alterhumanity. I do watch ghost hunting YouTube channels like Sam and Colby, and that helps pretty often. Sadly a lot of the movies I find aren’t that good so I can’t really connect to them, I’d love to hear about any good ghost/shadow figure center horror media yall know and I’ll check it out!!

Thank you for asking!! Im very new to this part of myself as well, but so far I mainly listen to music and go on tumblr/Pinterest and look at pictures and other peoples experiences. I try to find certain vibes with music that I connect to, when I first started feeling ghostly I had ghosting by mother mother on repeat lol!!

So now I switch between a crazed shadow scaring people (back to life - mother mother, frontier psychiatrist - the avalanches, under my skin - jukebox the ghost) and a quieter, calmer ghost just sort of floating and fading away (I was all over her - salvia palth, other shoegaze and artists like Ethel Cain and Adrienne lenker)

I also like watching ghost hunting videos like Sam and Colby on YouTube, a hyperfixation on them actually got me awakened as ghostkin! And it’s extra special when they show a ghost or something crazy and I’m like heheh >:)

So I’d suggest looking at what music and what vibe helps you feel most like you!! I use music to relate to every kintype of mine, so it’s a big part of mine. And try going on Pinterest and making a board of ghostly things you connect to, and do the same search on tumblr! And just keep an eye out for what feels like you during this time of exploring your identity, that’s what I’m doing as of late, for example I found I really like feeling breezes on my skin or my hands being cold without me actually feeling cold. Like being sensitive to temperature makes me feel more human and dysphoric!
