Season 7 - gods and monsters

Enzo and Bonnie’s relationship is based on him kidnapping her and her being forced to stay in the cabin with him. She was forced to be there to hide from the Armory, but he put her there and had all the power. Just because you ship them doesn’t mean it isn’t Stockholm Syndrome or that it isn’t a toxic relationship.

The way TVD fans prop Damon up as if he was boyfriend/husband goals. There were countless of better men on the show, hell even with all the random shit Stefan’s pulled he came out way better than his brother. Damon was always doing evil shit and getting a slap on the wrist. I can’t get over how he killed Tyler and no one cared, but when Stefan killed Enzo, he also had to die to redeem himself. Like wtf??? Meanwhile Damon got to live happily ever after with Elena. Yet some people want Bonnie to get with him over Enzo, and other men in tvd. I’d take Tonnie, Monnie, and Stefonnie over B@mon any day 🤷🏽‍♀️

It was more of the fact that I believe Ian wanted Bamon to be canon especially after his break up with Nina. Plec was never on board with it. Enzo was a fine love interest for Bonnie, however I do think Plec should have developed them early during the end of season five. Their scenes were spicy hot when they were working together against Silas. Sadly Bonnie was still wasting time with Jeremy. Then add the Caroline stuff in season six and then Lily Salvatore. It turned some folks off of the relationship with Enzo and Bonnie, but really Plec is to blame for being so lazy with her story telling when it comes with Bonnie. Kat and Michael had strong chemistry from the start. Bonenzo could have been bigger and on the same level as Forwood.

It’s so crazy how folks still crying about bonenzo being canon. Ignoring that fact that Enzo was murdered off midway into the final season and Bonnie is traveling alone. Like I’d prefer Bonnie married, living her best life with someone who loves her. Instead people whining about why she didn’t get with toxic D!mon as endgame. 🤦‍♀️

Bonenzo was written in large part for the benefit of Enzo's character. IMO Enzo benefited from the ship, way more than Bonnie did. He benefited by having some fans care about his fate, in a way they otherwise wouldn't care about his death if he didn't get with Bonnie. Had Bonnie say she had to care about him, since none of the other characters on the show did...

Enzo never had all of Bonnie’s heart during those 3 years of Damon’s desiccation. She got with Enzo as a result of feeling abandoned and betrayed by Damon. Telling Damon “He won’t leave me.”

I don’t know what’s been going on with tvd cast. I know fans have been angry with Joseph and Nate lately. But I’ve stayed away from all that.
