Knitted this blanket almost 2 years ago as my daughter was still in the womb. I had just finished this yesterday (07-06-19). I have put it off for so long due to trying to wiggle my way out of postpartum. It was a struggle but I managed to somehow get out alive and onto to better and bigger things.

Knitting has always been a passion for 17 years and it’s helped me through my depression and anxiety greatly. I am so grateful to have started up knitting as early as I did. My eldest sister taught me, however she doesn’t remember but I still remember it clearly. She was knitting out on her enclosed porch and I had asked her if she could teach me. She taught me the basics of casting on and the knit stitch. Then, from there on out I slowly started teaching myself while my sister gave up on knitting after she picked up on crocheting. She felt crocheting is a lot easier than knitting but I don’t see it. I have tried multiple times to learn how to crochet but could never grasp the hang of it. Some things aren’t for everyone.

A little about myself... 28 year old New Yorker with a wild toddler. My passions include books, yarn, crafting, art, and spoiling my kid. Lol.
