I love flirty arguments with someone I'm attracted to. It's so enemies to lovers coded. The tension is addictive. However, I hate losing. To mitigate this risk, I think it would be sexy to debate my lover while they have a remote controlled toy inside them. gm !! i have been a bit busy this week with work changes so i have not had a chance to reach out to you lovelies or post any replies. i DID however watch the new episode and i love, love, love my wife merrick. pls. i have so many thoughts. I did have to update my rules page regarding future AMC interactions after it though. screenshot below ↓
i was not surprised they did use merrick's character and book for half a segment & i have feelings naturally about how they handled it, but i can't wait to see everyone's reactions to the overall ep. i am confident you will all love it, hate it, or both.

for my personal thoughts: obviously there will always be a david shaped hole in this show for me, since they killed him offscreen. i felt it more than ever in this episode since much of what happens here is only possibly in the novelization by David's interference in knowing the Mayfair witches(through Aaron Lightner), the Talamasca, and his relationship to a grieving Louis and Lestat. I really treasure that he is often the glue that holds this dynamic together in modern day, that David often talks them down to reason when they're having crash outs or uncertainties. you will be missed, pookie.
i personally loved the nod to Merrick's auntie in this episode, and they tied it into a scene from the first season too! the actress handled her with grace and dignity, even though Claudia definitely called her (talamascan w/ a PHD in witchcraft, religions, and fluent in multiple dead languages ?? ) a broke medium 😂
as mentioned, i went ahead and updated my rules page to reflect this episode and my interpretation:
