I wanna sing you one of the sadder ones that I wrote for Melodrama. This song is about that very specific phenomenon that you probably have a name for at this point. The phenomenon of the moment when you’re in something with somebody, but you’re just not quite getting out of the car yet, so it’s not real. You know that feeling? Has anyone been there? Like, if I don’t leave this car, then I don’t have to go on with the rest of my life, and we’ll just sit in this moment together. This is that song.
