3 june 2026: just had a pretty intense therapy session. it's been a rough week, but i'm finding some silliness in the new tomodachi game. 🫶

2 june 2026: spent last night with a few friends and it was exactly what i needed, but i had a hell of a time getting to sleep last night so here's some selfies from yesterday instead of today's hungover face lmao. iowa friends: remember to VOTE TODAY!!!

30 may 2026: 65 days postop. i've been playing a lot of subnautica 2, not really motivated to do anything else lmao. have a good weekend folx 💛

28 & 29 may 2026: 9 weeks postop 😁 still dealing with this depressive episode, but i feel like i'm starting to come out of it. hope y'all have a good weekend. 💛

26 & 27 may 2026: today (wednesday) i drove 5½ hours to and from my friend's hometown for her funeral. i gave my painting of her to her partner before i left—i'm broken-hearted and beyond angry that her partner wasn't allowed to come to the funeral, and i guarantee they announced the date & time of the funeral so late so that a bunch of her neighbors couldn't come. joke's on them, though, because we were the most interesting table at the luncheon. (ugh. i miss my friend.)

25 may 2026: had a really wonderful memorial day lunch with my mom. (no i didn't wear this lol i butched up for the public 😮‍💨) i think i've been in a crisis level anxiety mode every day this year so far, but she always calms me down. hope y'all had a good day. 🫶

23 & 24 may 2026: recovering after my new diabetic med fucked up my whole digestive system the entirety of yesterday 🫠 felt like the fucking flu, but i know it was the meds. i woke up at 6am, took my meds, and went back to sleep til 11am; i'm so exhausted. i am feeling better, though, even if i still have no appetite. if i can garner the energy, i'll try to get some chores done today. have a good day, folks. 🫶

(last thing: i hate nebraska drivers y'all. if i see you driving a giant truck in nebraska you are my NUMBER ONE ENEMY)

21 may 2026: 8 weeks postop today! haven't been dealing with many issues with healing as of late. i've got my next checkup tomorrow, hopefully she won't load me up with a bunch of dressing supplies this time lmao. 🫶

20 may 2026: i had a really bad depressive weekend/start to the week and just barely came back up in time for air today. i took a walk this morning, and i'll see my therapist later. for now, i'm just trying to stay afloat. 55 days postop. 🫶

15 may 2026: 50 days postop. did something nice for myself and took some closeups of the scars. i haven't focused on my recovery at all for like three days, even though my chest is healing really well. it's hard not to think about how scary everything is right now, especially after my friend's suïcide. but the more i feel my emotions instead of avoiding them, the easier it'll be to process that grief. be safe, friends. 💛

thank you for everything you've done for me, my friend. the pain of this grief will never wane, but my love for you won't, either. be safe up there in the stars, Chels. ✨

11 may 2026: 46 days postop! my mom and i went shopping yesterday and she insisted on getting me some nice shirts (despite it being HER holiday 🙄😂). really, really grateful for her. i spent most of today recovering from the busy weekend, as i think maybe i overdid it and put myself in a fatigue flare-up, but here are two of my new shirts (i'm a huuuuge fan of the buttonless polo look lmao it's such a slutty look). hope today was a good start to the week for y'all! 💛
