soooo recently i read The Dispossessed and became absolutely obsessed with the way the book merges astrophysics and human philosophy. that quote just stuck in my head, and became the inspiration for this series of monoprints, which i've titled "The Umbilicus of the Universe". monoprinting is a lot of fun and i loved making getting emotional about humanity and space and Ursula K Le Guin!

The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison is one of my favorite books of all time, and within it, one of my favorite scenes is Maia and Csethiro's first real interaction at Nurevis' party! so i drew it. their slow romance is so delicious.

i made another zine! A Midsummer Night's Dream, act 2, scene 1, lines 257-260. all illustrations and lettering done by me! illustrated digitally and laser printed. a very fun way to start my book arts class :)
