Do you have any ideas on how shadow abilities can be more interesting? My friend is making a bnha oc and she wants them to have shadow manipulation but doesn't want it to be boring we tried thinking of ideas but we got nothing so i thought I'd ask you. got any ideas?

Calcify: the ability to petrify the cells of living organisms

User has special pockets in the skin that act as calcium deposits and can inject a calcium-like substance into the bloodstream of their target to paralyze them. Their fingernails are essentially needles, and once puncturing the skin, calcium absorption becomes much easier.

User can control the rate of calcification, as well as how much calcium they inject into the bloodstream.

They can suck the calcium out of other individuals for a boost, as well as reverse the effects of their quirks on targets, but if too many cells are calcified, the victim will die.

Overexertion can lead to loss in bone density, which increases risk of fractures and joint issues like arthritis, dizziness, and even calcium stones in their own bodies, which are very painful.

User must maintain a balanced diet rich in calcium, and keep up a rigorous exercise routine in order to absorb as much calcium from their environment as they can.

Best suited for a front-lines hero, but their quirk could have some medical uses.

Hello! I recently adopted a new character and they’re based off of the Lily of the valley. It’s a woodland flowering plant with sweetly scented, pendent, bell-shaped white flowers. Apparently it’s toxic to humans and animals when ingested. The cardiac glycosides in lily of the valley can cause serious heart issues and other symptoms. I was wondering if you had any ideas for a quirk?

Maybe something pollen based? Like, can use a plants pollen or seeds and instantly grow that on someone. Ex: spreads seeds/spores/pollen on an enemy, activates it, and the roots tear their arm off in the process of growing. :)

if you want a really mean quirk then just. emits concentrated/directed radiation .... it could be cool to have some kind of magnifying glass type construct which allows them to concentrate light like a laser, too.

hey, i want to give my oc a quirk based around muting an area around the user or other people, or something that can for example affect peoples hearing as in making them more sensitive to sound or deafen them for a short period of time. would appreciate your help! (sry for my bad english)

you can maybe have them just completely mute the entire area- like they emit a sound at a frequency which can't be heard but emits waves which repel or consume all other ones, or something!

hehe you can give anybody fangs! lots of people with mutations aside from quirks!

but you can always make them crazy and have them bite people. the fangs could really just be their power. chompers. otherwise, if you want something aesthetic and good for intel type stuff, maybe they're able to see "traces" of people? like able to observe past conversations say 3 hours after they happen. can kind of follow peoples traces after X amount of delay. "ghostly" figures but not so ghosty, yk?

maybe something like: able to manipulate soils. can condense or liquify it through a sort of subtle vibration they give on modifying terrain or able to create armor through dirt. works off vibration but soil focus yk :3

Got any ideas for emitter quirks you could imagine a wizard/sorcerer/warlock wannabe being able to ham up? Like, they really wished they were actually magic, but they have to deal with only having a quirk. Think in the territory of creating liquids that augment different parts of someone's body depending on the type of liquid (potions), or controlling any broom in the vicinity (like a witch).

Something with periodic elements could be cute. Like, can change something from one element to another? Kind of force chemical reactions... But that's hard to create a quirk around. If you're thinking white beard big pointy hat wizard, something with electricty is pretty easy to shape around the visuals of 'magic', but if you're looking for more alchemist type stuff then you could maybe do something like a force mutation quirk? Can change X limb / part of an enemies/their own body with their spit and a dream or something

maybe they can give back the same power afflicted towards or around them? ex: someone shoots a fireball at them, they shoot a fireball back?

Out of curiosity, I've been hitting a wall on a quirk idea: I call it "Induction Coils" essentially allowing the user to use bandages to manipulate the temperatures of anything it coils around; could the user manage to somehow fly, or at least hover with support gear?

why are they using bandages?

What would be the quirk of a child who’s parents quirks are weaver: the user can produce silk and circuitry: the user has circuitry in their arms and legs that can be messed with to give the user enhancements? 💞💕

If you take requests, could you make a quirk for me based off the word “menagerie”? it feels like it’d be a stockpile or a creation quirk but i don’t what it’d do :/

on the lesser end of things, you could have them able to take small bits of energy (quirk power) from other people through some sort of way, probably physical contact, and they'd be able to discharge that same amount of power at another time. so like, they brush elbows with someone who has a fire quirk: they could probably shoot a single fireball some time later. energy could degrade over time or they could just have a cap to where they have to stop taking stuff?

on a darker end of things and away from the power hoarding, you could have them take things like thoughts or memories or even faces and store that within themselves. i think it could be cool to have a shape shifter that can become anyone for a brief period of time. lost identity as they've become so many people they've lost who they really are ..
