He discovered that if he whipped the jump rope toward the fridge, the papers on the fridge fell off. He laughed hysterically every time.

We mailed Bridian a package. But there were some parts Berlin didn't want to actually send to Bridian.

He tripped over someone's foot and fell into a corner of the podium at church. It seems we're racking up a lot of "being a boy" wounds awfully early.

We went to visit Jada's grave today. He was mostly fascinated by the pinwheels that were nearby, but he did love her bird.

It was finally sunny for long enough to run to the park. Cue the Hallelujah chorus.

He wanted to go for a bike ride, but one of the tires on the trailer met a long thorn, and we need to replace a tube. Berlin didn't seem to mind, though. He sat buckled into the bike trailer, inside the house, for at least 30 minutes, just reading his book. I guess motion is overrated.

He played in the dirt. And then he tasted some. Jeremy calls it being a boy. I'm okay with that.

I said, "he has to be buckled." So Jeremy buckled him in.

Man, he's cute when he sleeps. And not just because he's not moving.

"Mom. Stop." I feel like this expression might stick around for awhile.

I texted Jeremy this picture with the caption, "We're in trouble." He responded, "Awesome. Get those knives!" I said, "And he's so proud of himself," and Jeremy said, "He should be!" Moms and Dads are so different.

We're trying to get him to (want to) use silverware. As you can see, it's going splendidly.

Swinging is time for serious thinking. Or serious terror. I'm still not sure.

He found the shoes that don't fit him yet. He wasn't bothered; he tried them on anyway.

When he said that he wanted a cookie, I fully expected it to be destroyed within seconds, on the floor, with none of it ingested. Instead, he inhaled it, and then asked for more. But it was a cookie. Why was I surprised?
