December thirteenth is nearing and soon...and soon, like Friday soon, we will see who..I can pass the torch to. Oh my god. It's really fucking here. I'm going to need several days after my last match to really understand it. I 'm beyond grateful for the highest of highs and lowest of lows. i'll be with my kiddos then, so can't be there in person. but you can count me in watching your final match and betting my bottom dollar on you, john! i can't believe how fast your farewell tour has gone... what a legacy you've given to wrestling. luckily for you, after the match there will be a trip coming up. oh, please tell me you're going so we can get any celebratory drinks underway as soon as possible!

My two kids are freaking excited for the Staten Island Ferry finally coming to our home in Brooklyn. I know of all things. It's been 60 odd years since this path for the ferry has been closed and yes they told me this little history fact. But don't worry the Sudeikis kids are going to be the ones to celebrate the grand reopening Monday. Would a dutiful dad let them skip school for just such an occasion? No but come Monday morning they may convince me of another answer. The things we do for our kids.

so, i guess i was today years old when i realized that me and you were neighbors in brooklyn. god, this city is so big i never even bumped into you with my little ones! i can't believe it's been sixty years since this path has been closed... i'll follow your lead and take my kids out of school for the day. pretend it's for a small history lesson and still with educational purposes, so i think it's a fair trade. i think you got the right idea! any other plans afterward? i may or may not tag along.

i can't really blame them! you switch between the two so effortlessly. though, i imagine i'd be playing with people a lot when it came to that. i'd say the person with the other hair color was my twin sister and we just switch, depending on the role. thanksgiving was so lovely! it's usually hard to get family together, but when it comes to that day, everyone wants to show up and i'm always grateful for that. it's been a tough year. if you're ever in the states around that time again, just know you're always welcome to spend thanksgiving with me! my lights and christmas tree have been up since before december, so i totally feel you on that. have you gotten all your christmas shopping done? did any of your family members have something crazy on their wishlist?

i'm getting a masters in public administration. it's crazy what the mind does when you need a little bit of distraction... went full out wanting to get another degree. bill, you're just the kindest! being superwoman can be challenging some days, but totally worth it. i mean, i feel it! you're literally giving those kids hell. but it's always fun to watch you in those types of roles. hey, being busy isn't a bad thing! that means you always have something to do. oh, i love new babies and how tiny they are. i hope you give him extra snuggles for me. besides him, has your family been driving you crazy this holiday season or are you keeping your sanity?

you know, i don't know if it's the beard growing back in, the excessive gray creeping through, or just the post-thanksgiving effect, but i got my first "you kind of look like santa claus" from my youngest the other day. it humbles a man, it really does. kids say the darndest things, huh? though, if anyone's looking for a papa noel for their next holiday event, well... i might just be your man. @limelightblvdstarters

you know... i was also wondering the other day what augustus meant when he said he "saw santa" after the playdate we had with your boys. i guess mads was the inspiration for that hilarious conclusion. honestly, no need to take it as an insult. i'll be right by your side if you need a mrs. claus. though, with redder hair more than gray. we can be the hot shoo-ins for when people take their picture with santa and the missus at the mall or something. gotta put this new talent to use!

Please you and I think the exact same. Like, if one doesn't like the concrete jungle, there are literally so many beautiful places a short drive away. One can take a beautiful drive in the Hudson Valley or something in the Catskills. Aww, that means a lot! that I have given you such a highly ranked compliment. Definitely, you deserve it! Nature is just a beautiful reset and the most invigorating thing on a tired day.

oh my god, exactly! you just get me. we'd be so good at going out and finding good nature spots for people to spend time at. we should probably call up national geographic or one of those travel channels and pitch an alycia & jessica adventure show. people would eat it up! sydney is so beautiful. i'm sure you miss the fun in the sun out there, especially if you're anywhere with snow! it'll be fun to have your family in the states for the holidays, though i know how hard it can be hosting. do you have any ideas where you're going to take them around in los angeles?

you seriously sound like you’re about to publish a book called “life lessons and nature shows.” i fully believe you’d write a good one though. please don’t start adopting wildlife because maya hawke told you a fox looks mysterious. i can already see you with a raccoon in the house like, “he’s part of the family now.” giulietta having a whole storyline with señorita and heart of gold is actually kind of genius. honestly, good branding. and augustus singing “i wonder…” in the middle of the night? slightly haunting—but i’m not even mad. kid has better taste than all of us. samba updates, i can kind of do it now. i move, i try, people are patient. that’s all i got so far. you know i can’t miss the chance to open presents, eat way too much, and get roasted by the whole family for my dancing. i’m actually in los angeles now. still don’t totally know how long i’m staying, but i’m here for a while, but i’ll be home before giulietta starts opening my gifts or augustus tries to take my place at the table. just have hot chocolate ready. and no nature documentaries at dinner.

you're going to get the first autographed edition of the book if you don't stop making fun of me! i'll make sure it's put in the credits and everything: "wouldn't be possible without the inspiration of shawn mendes traveling". it would throw everyone in for a loop! listen, maya hawke is doing a better job at scaring me away from some of these animals versus wanting to keep them. so, you may not have a raccoon family member just yet. my kiddos adore you. you know that! this is just their way of reminding me of that! i love it, haha! i'm very proud of you. once you perfect it, it'll be time to teach me the samba! i'm so excited to see you soon, my child. i promise to hide your gifts from giulietta and a seat reserved for you at the adults table this time. just gotta remind augustus he's just not there yet. can't tell if the kid wants to be like you or be you sometimes. i will have hot chocolate, wine, food, hugs, warmth, and fireplaces ready to welcome you.

That's really so close like you say! It's so refreshing to hear your commitment to letting your children be children. Allowing them to play, explore, and run around on a beautiful beach day is the best kind of parenting. Those warm, sunny beach days are the kind of memories they'll treasure forever, no iPad could ever replace the feeling of sand between their toes and the sound of waves. You are doing a fantastic job! See you are just flat out adorable! Heat. As much as it's beautiful now, i have to live in heat and the tropics if I had to pick.

it is! that's why it's so funny when people complain about the city life when they're in new york... just go upstate for a little bit, ya know? ahhh, that's one of the best compliments i've ever received! you're the sweetest, alycia! and you're so right, you can never replace the fun given by just experiencing nature. a tropical island does sound super nice. i know typically the weather in australia is just what you're looking for. that's where you're from right? will you be going home for the holidays or staying in the states?

As if I could ever forget you! Don't tell my other co-stars, but you've always remained one of my favourites. Yeah, I do love a bit of horror - so much variety involved with that. Maybe we can convince Guillermo to put us in something together. I loved you in Crimson Peak. They definitely do, we just have to make them know we're available for it.

oh, don't flatter me dan! you're actually gonna make me want to shout that fact from the rooftops: "i'm one of dan stevens favorites! can you say that?" the whole world would hear it in no time, but i'll keep that secret to myself. working with guillermo again would be the most immediate yes. crimson peak was such a fulfilling experience for me. maybe i can try to make some calls and at least put it on his mind. subliminally, he'll come to us as the next leads eventually. we'll be available! except, maybeeee a little slower during this holiday season. you got any plans going on or are you taking a well deserved break?
