well, u ain’t wrong. i understand WHY people are mad over it i guess i just??? don’t see how it’s worth dropping the show over. like it’s a great fucking show. it’s really progressive and includes more poc/lgbt+ people than white/straight people. compare it to the 1oo where they had one lesbian and yeah, the outrage is more justifiable. not sure if that’s the right word but? hopefully u get what im saying

the reason I don't think Poussey's death got as much outrage is because Lexa and Clexa was much more popular among WLW than Poussey or Poussoso. BUT OITNB is still falling into the BYG trope. Poussey finally falls in love and is happy and then dies. What the fuck. I understand the message they were trying to prove- but they literally could have used ANY other character besides the POC Lesbian. ANY character.

i think lots of people loved poussey a lot but yeah the clexa fandom was/is a lot larger. you’re right tho, i completely understand everyones perspective about that and i get that it was shitty to show her in a happy romantic relationship then to have her killed. that part was unessesary for sure. i wish they used a random background character because i love the message that is told but at the same time killing such a fan favorite that they clearly set up more this season to get attached to isn’t nice. i get that part of it i really do. still the season was so good it just doesn’t take away from me enjoying it. it could never ruin the show for me like it seems to be for other people, i guess thats my point here.

why are people so quick to dismiss the whole season 4 of oitnb idgi like personally that was the best thing of anything ive watched in a long time and i don’t think the whole season should be ditched bc of one episode. even tho its sad its sorta not comparable to all the other shows that buried their gays considering the amount of rep on oitnb. this wasn’t a show written by old white men who don’t understand like fuckin look at the messages in this past season alone. it talks about things no one else would dare to. i understand its sad and i understand how the scene can be triggering but i don’t understand how u can completely now hate the whole show in itself when the rest has just been phenomenal.
