Okay so since I’ve been through this huge art block i really don’t know/feel like a have well defined art style.

So to start things over I decided to do different drawing studying the same reference.  

I hope this works for me, and I’ll be updating all the stuff I end doing in here

So i’ve been through this really shitty and long as fuck art block for almost 2 fucking years now and I’m done with it.

When I got in my arts university in 2017 I used to love drawing and painting, it made me truly happy and i was really satisfied with my progress and how much I improved.

2 years a go, some time around September 2018, I got the news I was accepted for an exchange student program to the university of Leeds,  it was a dream come true. The only problem was, I did not get accepted at the studio work module due to “the quality of my drawing and paintings were too low for the module”, I did got accepted to the module, but due to my work with sculptures.

 Ever since that I feel extremely demotivated about drawing, and had a lot of self doubt everything I tried to produce. I did have an amazing time in England and learned a lot, but I ended up not drawing or painting almost anything the whole year (2019).

So I was really excited to get back to my painting and etching classes here a=in brazil, and literally 2 weeks into classes, the quarantine begun. Since I’m living with my grandma and have the privilege of having my parents doing the groceries shopping for us, i’ve been stuck at home since april. I literally haven’t been out of my house the whole time (i almost forgot how the outside is lol)

Being the extrovert that I am, not having contact as much with my friends (after being a WHOLE YEAR away) and not being able to go out has taken a toll out of me, and ended up also not doing anything.

These past 4 months I got into haikyuu hell (hehe) and I saw a ton fan art. I rediscover artists that I loved, and found new ones to fall in love. And it left me with a feeling “i just really miss drawing” and ever since that I’ve been starting to get an itch to draw again.

I’ve tried going back to draw again quite a few times this past month, and I decided that I will go back to it regularly right now.

This post is basically a way of me motivating myself, and a way to put out all of this thoughts that have been in my head and that I haven’t been able to actually voice out to anyone I know.
