I participated in this year’s @grishaversebigbang, and created a couple of pieces for the wonderful HELNIK(😍😍) fic, “I Won’t Hurt You, Even If You Hurt Me,” by @littlestivy, with the beta assist from our Corporalki, @davonysus!

Fic Summary: What if, instead of Nina having Matthias arrested as a slaver, Matthias turns her in to the drüskelle, instead? Captured and taken to the Ice Court, Nina must battle with her hatred for Matthias and trying to survive in this cruel new environment. Matthias' confusing blend of emotions towards Nina threatens to bring everything he's ever believed crashing down around his ears. When the time comes, will he be able to send Nina to her death? Or will he be torn from the drüskelle traditions he put so much faith in? Excerpt from chapter 1 below the cut!

SUMMARY: When the last East Ravkan zombie outbreak research facility is stormed by zombies, Kuwei Yul Bo has no choice but to inject himself with the experimental zombie cure he and his father were developing. The cure is successful, but all the research is lost when the facility goes up in flames. The only other survivors are two refugees from Fjerda, Nina Zenik and Matthias Helvar. Kuwei is left stranded, unsupplied and unprepared, though immune and not alone. Working together to stay alive, they are soon taken in by the largest group of survivors, led by Alina Starkov. Meanwhile in Ketterdam, one of the last remaining zombie free strongholds, Kaz Brekker hears the rumor of the only person immune to the virus is on the run in East Ravka, avoiding other interested parties who would see him either dead or captured. However, separating the Crows and Kuwei, is the Fold, the metaphorical rend in Ravka that is literally crawling with zombies. This is only the first of their problems.
