his mother would be so disappointed in him. she raised him not to fib and he knew full well that she could bash the bible and he'd still hitch a ride with her if it meant getting out of here. which was why when she took his hand he held on tight and braced himself. traveling by magic always made him uncomfortable. it was probably in part due to his and khaji-da's close connection. the  reach infiltrator didn't have appropriate countermeasures  for magic so whenever the two of them came up against something mystical in origin khaji freaks out and usually   tries to nuke the planet.
