Something Blue: Casey & Gabe's Wedding
We had the honor of being a part of Casey's big day with Bluebird Stylists Danica Schaefer and Brit Tarr doing hair and makeup for these lovely ladies... Casey took a few minutes to chat to us about her special day, which was held at the Flying Caballos Ranch, in San Luis Obispo. Photographer: Christina Richards (christinarichardsweddings.com) Bb. What was your favorite moment of the day? The ceremony was really special – it was very meaningful to say the vows we wrote in front of all our family and friends. We had an awesome dance party later in the night, and then after most people left we stayed up and sat around the fire pit with friends talking for hours. Bb. What was your style inspiration? Our venue and the wedding overall was very rustic and relaxed, so we wanted the style to be similar. I wanted to look a little fancier than usual, but still like me. It was a super windy day, so I was glad to have my hair in a beautiful, natural looking updo (and it stayed put all day and night!). Bb. How was your experience with Bluebird Salon? Working with the salon was fantastic, from my trial and initial consultation to the day of the wedding. Danica was so receptive to my ideas and the final look was exactly what I wanted! Getting beautified by Danica and Brit the morning of the wedding with my bridesmaids, mom, and mother-in-law was so much fun and a totally relaxing experience! Bb. What advice do you have for brides planning their special day? It can definitely be a stressful time, so try not to let yourself get overwhelmed, but if you do, that’s ok and totally normal! I definitely had my fair share of planning-related meltdowns : ) On the day of the wedding, try and let go of any last minute problems or frustrations, because all that matters is you and your new husband/wife, and being surrounded by the people you love the most.
