Todd and Cameron friendship headcanons because I'm upset we didn't get more interactions between them -
When he first starts at Welton, apart from Neil, Todd is actually most comfortable spending time with Cameron. He likes that he never tries to make him talk or be more outgoing he just simply let's him exist as he is
Cameron appreciates having Todd around, he's a calming presence amid a group of often super loud dramatic people. He's a breath of fresh air and Cameron loves him for that
Cameron always makes sure to let Todd know he's wanted and that he's happy he joined the group, he knows what it's like to feel like a burden and he doesn't ever want Todd feeling like that
They often bond over feeling like the outsiders in the group
The second Cameron realises Todd struggles with anxiety he spends the rest of the night looking it up and learning how he can help, his notebook is full of infomation, he keeps it on him at all times and adds to it when Todd tells him things about his own personal experience
Todd gets sad when people are unnecessarily mean to Cameron, he can see how much it hurts him and although he finds it hard he'll try to stand up for him and sneak in a hug or a hand squeeze whenever he can
Study sessions with just the two of them because Cameron knows Todd doesn't like big groups and this way Cameron can fully focus on helping Todd if he's finding something difficult and vice versa
They're both morning people so they take walks around the woods before everyone else gets up, they take bread to feed the birds and a flask of tea to share with each other. They usually end up having either super deep philosophical conversations or talking about absolutely nothing
When Neil tells everyone about the desk set incident Cameron wraps up some poetry books and a sweater he has and leaves them on Todd's desk as a birthday present
Todd goes to Cameron for advice about everything, he knows he won't be judged and Cameron has the ability to make Todd look at things in a different light and sort through his feelings and emotions in a healthy way (Cameron is the first person Todd tells about his feelings for Neil)
Cameron thinks Todd is the funniest person he's ever met, every time he's sad Todd is able to make him laugh and he adores him for that
Cameron is very protective of Todd and will fight anyone who thinks its okay to say things about him, especially if its about anything to do with his anxiety. He 100% will use his reputation in the school to get people in trouble and he doesn't care because no one messes with Todd
Todd knows Cameron sometimes forgets to look after himself when he's studying so he'll bring food and drinks and check in on him at night to make sure he's actually getting sleep
They go to Cameron and Charlie's room when Neil is at rehearsals and Cameron let's Todd pick an album for them to listen to on his record player. They surprisingly have a mutual love for David Bowie, Kate Bush and The Cure
They both want each other to realise just how talented, worthy and loved they are
