I always thought that when this day did finally come, I would be overjoyed. This town has made me feel trapped for as long as I can remember. Don't get me wrong, though---I love my parents and little brother. It's just that the difference between me and them is that they're content with their simple lives. They always have been. But, I've always wanted more. I've wanted to make something of my life.

When the moment had finally come to let go of my past life, I was surprised to feel overwhelmed by sadness. Saying my goodbyes to my parents and brothers had seemed to go on for much longer than it should have. For just a moment, I wanted to take all my plans back. I wanted to stay in my parents' embrace forever.

Today is the day I've been dreaming of since the moment I could comprehend exactly what I was. Today is the end of the first book in the series of my life. Today I move onto book two---a, hopefully, more exciting sequel. Today I'll leave behind all I've ever known and move forward into the unknown.

Meet Andie Fairchild, the founder of the Fairchild Diaries!

Among the residents of Andie's small town, she always felt different. While the rest of the sims just accepted the fact that they were stuck in the town, Andie yearned for more. She was determined to escape the place that pulled sims in and never let go. By the time she reached her teenage years, she was already working at her local apple orchard to earn money to move to San Myshuno. Now she's living in a tiny apartment in the city. She hopes to find a job as an art critic and start a new chapter in her story.
