「 ✻ 」 With a sheepish giggle, she scratched her cheek, not yet used to compliments on her quirk. “Eheh, thank you! I think they’re cute!” She lifted up the snake wrapped around her forearm, and it flicked its tongue out towards the redhead. “This one is named Noodle,” she told him. That surely wasn’t what he meant by the question, but that appeared to go over her head. “I’ve been reading a lot about snakes lately, so I felt inspired!”

「 ✻ 」 Ikuo had just exited the convenience store when she saw--and heard--the other. Ah, that was quite the predicament, and as an aspiring hero, it only felt right to approach and offer help! “I can... fix that?” While she technically could fix it with her quirk, she realised halfway through that even if she did, it’d fall apart again once she was out of range... and it’d leave a disturbing puddle of blood behind. “Or, uh, is there any way I can help?”

「 ✻ 」 Ikuo didn’t mind patrols, even the uneventful ones: she liked watching children’s faces light up when they saw heroes in costume and the gratitude they expressed when she could help with even the most simple of tasks. Even if she only had her provisional licence, it made her feel that much closer to achieving her dream! As she looked around for any potential emergencies, the other student took her hand and began humming. She giggled and, after a moment of listening to make sure she had the rhythm down, hummed along with her. Ah, what a nice patrol day!

「 ✻ 」 “Okay!” Ikuo wastes no time--she reaches out and takes his hands and hold them between her own! “Is that better?”

「 ♔ 」 Ikuo’s favourite hero is Vlad King! When she was younger, people would mock her dream of being a hero by saying there’s no way she could be one with a quirk like hers, and while she generally isn’t one to take comments like that too seriously, there were still times when that was easier said than done. And in those times, knowing there was already a pro with a similar quirk helped her maintain her optimism and feel better. As such, she’s always had a special sort of respect and admiration for him.

「 ✻ 」 Ikuo was, at all times, more than happy to help her classmates out, especially when it involved taste-testing. As she took a bite of the cupcake, a pleased hum escaped her. Delicious! And the over-the-top decorations only added to her enjoyment! What could she say? She was a child at heart. ( That, plus she hadn’t been given much of a chance to enjoy her childhood to begin with. ) “I love it! You did a great job! I’m sure everyone will love them!” She beamed. “Hey, hey, can you teach me how to bake like this sometime?”

( In theory, she should’ve held more loyalty towards her own big brother and claimed him to be the best, but, well, they’d never spent much time together and he never seemed to care for her. She didn’t have much of an opinion regarding him in the end. ) “I’ll do my best! And that’s fine--it can be tricky to get the technique right, but practice makes perfect, y’know. I believe in you, Toudou!”

「 ✻ 」 A pleased hum escaped her as he called her by her given name. That meant they were friends now, right? How exciting! “Yes, yes, I could! This is my favourite style, but I know lots of others too!” She rocked on her heels, her hands clasped behind her back. “I can show you different ponytails and braids and anything else, and she’ll be amazed at all the styles you know! You’ll be the coolest big brother!”

「 ✻ 」 Ikuo giggled, a hand rising to rest against her mouth. “Thank you, Toudou! You’re sweet!” All these compliments lately were making her giddy! “Oh--and you can call me Ikuo if you want to.”
