A common misconception about hypnosis is that being easily susceptible and suggestible is a sign of a lack of intelligence, however it is the exact opposite. The more intelligence someone displays in their waking life, the dumber and more docile they tend to be when they are tranced out. In fact, being suggestible and easy to hypnotize indicates a strong imaginative capacity, as well as a notable ability to focus and pay attention. As we know, attention span correlates with intelligence.

Having all of this stressful, mind numbing work from day to day. Studying, constantly using your brain. Of course all of that dumb; docile bliss needs to go somewhere.

It's like that intelligence, that hard mental work you perform every day is a rubber band being stretched out and the moment you drop into trance all of that tension snaps and releases and you're allowed to drop deeply into that happy docile, dumb, ditzy bliss. Right in your happy place. I've found the most profound subjects I've worked with were intellectuals, hardworking women, professional and astute. Yet, when in session, they exibited such a deep sensitivity to having their mind utterly fucked with hypnotic bliss.
