a    signal    high    up    ,    a    signal    so    obvious    ,    a    signal    that    made    GOONS    RUN    .    a    shadow    ,    lingering    &    always    present    .    was    he    hiding    in    it    ,    OR    WAS    HE    THE    SHADOW    ?    whenever    signal    appeared    ,    it    sent    rush    through    his    veins    ,    heart    beat    out    of    his    chest    ,    night    passing    like    a    rush    whe    he    was    out    there    ,    whe    he    was    FIGHTIG    FOR    GOTHAM    .    sun    rising    ,    slowly    ,    darkness    fading    into    light    .    blue    turning    orange    &    were    he    more    interested    :    HE    WOULD    PAY    ATTENTION    TO    IT    ,    but    he    was    not    .    what    he    was    interested    in    ,    however    (    who    turned    the    signal    on    ,    if    not    gordon    ?    )

voice    not    one    he    knew    ,    not    familiar    ,    NOT    ONE    HE    REMEMBERED    &    the    face    ?    form    turned    ,    listened    to    what    she    was    saying    .    strange    ,    moved    happily    ,    moved    with   ease    and    with    a    wide    smile    on    features    .    SMILED    ,    while    shadow    remained    still    ,    remained    neutral    .    perhaps    (    if    one    looked    closely    )    they    could    see    lips    TWITCHING    just    slightly    &    moments    of    silence    passed    ,    questions    left    unanswered    for    him    to    ask    the    only    one    that    burned    on    the    tip    of    his    tongue    :    «    WHO    ARE    YOU    ?    »

"    wowee    this  place  is  huge      -----  !    "    dinah  drops  herself  from  the  above  perch,  having  her  fill  of  gotham's  sights.  (  not  like  it  lessened  the  view  much  )    "  it  doesn't  seem  like  so  much  online,  but  then  you  look  ---  there's  so  many  nooks  and  crannies,  so  many  different  kinds  of  people  ...  "    black  boots  hit  the  concrete,  and  black  canary  stands  full  height  before  the  other,  backlit  by  the  ever  -  burning    batsignal    behind  them.
