Protest Your Comment (2015) 

This sound work layers the distorted audio of bees with a whisper. The voice whispers calming phrases in juxtaposition to the frantic and aggressive sound of the flying bees. 

Emoji Landscape (2015) stills

Emoji Landscape (2015) combines an image of a landscape scene with its own emoticon mosaic. The video scans over the colourful mosaic of emoticons, many depicting nature themselves, while the opacity sporadically reduces to reveal the landscape beneath. The landscape glides out of focus from the mosaic before pulling back and merging once again to show the emoticons.The artwork reviews humans tendency to model technology off nature, the emoticons playfully reveal how they are left mechanized, presenting how alienated humans have become from nature as we are all very reliant on these technologies.

I imagine most of my video artworks installed so that a projection is on each wall totally immersing the viewer among the images in the space. For this reason a large majority of  my videos are silent so that they would be compatible for this kind of installation, my Sound Box (2015) could also feature to provide audio and add another interactive layer to the space.

This video artwork was created from footage taken through the lens of the kaleidoscope I produced containing images of myself, Kaleidoscope (2015). In the video one or more kaleidoscopic circles glide over and around each other, reminiscent of spotlights. Internally the brightly coloured symmetrical patterns of images divide provoking ideas concerning microscopic organisms and microscopes.
