Though her experiment have been an utter success, the princess’ eyes wouldn’t come up to check on her just this instant, remaining fixed on the screen right before her. Entrapa sat down on her own hair, her fingers never stopping moving as some last calculations were still required to keep her program running smoothly. And as Hope inquired, it would perhaps seem at first the other didn’t pay any kind of attention, but in response a part of her hair came up, showing some form that’d resemble a hand raising its index finger.
‘ The Heart of Etheria no longer exists, the failsafe was activated when Horde Prime tried to hack it. Thankfully She Ra saved Etheria and the whole Universe from Prime, so we are all safe now. Now please, if you’ll come here for a moment, I’d like to check your mobility! You can follow Emily’s steps! ‘ and that hairy index finger pointed at the big round robot standing right beside them, who’d beep excitedly at its new companion. Sister? No, not really–
‘ I enhanced your exoskeleton with some tech I scavenged from the war against Prime, and put it together with First One’s tech, so you will be a way more advanced than you ever was— Uh… ‘
‘ What’s your name again? I thought about calling you Emily’s Sister 2.0, but that didn’t sound right, since you aren’t related to Emily in the slightest. ‘
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒 𝐖𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐄 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐘 𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄 into her programming, from She-Ra who became overwhelmed with the weight of their power, to those who became enamored with it. She had procedures for every natural disaster that might occur on Etheria, or how to redistribute energy in the event of a runestone’s destruction. They planned for every possible outcome. All, it seemed, except for one.
The heart no longer existed.
Distantly she heard the Princess’ request, and moved to obey more out of habit than anything else. Though she had never taken a step before, her memory banks contained records of more than three million species of animals, from bipeds, to tripeds, to quadrupeds, and beyond. Plenty of examples to reference. The first step was uncertain -- even shaky -- yet she learned quickly enough, all the while her mind pondered this new reality.
The heart no longer existed. A step. So why did she exist? A step. Her purpose was to train She-Ra, bring balance to Etheria. A step. A balanced Etheria was the Heart’s activation. Step. Without the heart, her programming was for nothing. Step. Soon enough, she was all but flush against the scientist, peering downwards with a frown.
“My name is Light Hope. I was designed to train She-Ra and bring balance to the Heart of Etheria. If it no longer exists, my function has been rendered void.”
“Why have you reactivated me?”
