POV: The year is 2027, and while playing The Sims 4 you pause your game and get up to use the bathroom. However you stop suddenly, and turn to look at your pause screen to find it slowly forming into a fullscreen ad for Tide laundry detergent, with a QR code to conveniently add it to your Amazon cart in the bottom right corner, but the freshness doesn’t stop there.

You look closer to see there’s also a smaller ad within the ad reminding you that The Sims 4 Laundry Day Stuff is currently 50% off.

someone: sims 2 community is highkey racist at times and this is reflected in the custom content creation space

horde of white simmers: oh my goddd you literally have so much to choose from though! this space is the most diverse ever. what do you mean poc options feel limited compared to options for non-poc. why don't you just make the cc yourself. bet you never thought of that. and btw it's completely normal for marginalized groups and people wanting gameplay that isn't white centric to have to search harder to curate a downloads folder for themselves. be grateful you have anything at all. here let me make it easier for you here's 10 measly links now stop suggesting deeper analysis of fandom trends and let me play my game IN PEACE!!!

Me but with so many sims 3 skins won’t even reach close to CAMREN’S SHADE LIKE LOOK AT HER??? and if they do "try" it's the ashiest thing i've ever seen. So I know there’s no hope for my more melanated sims gahh damnnn. I couldn’t even get stretch marks to show up on her skin tone cos they were too LIGHT??? The moment I check out a skin and it doesn’t even reach Camren’s complexion I’m like “ah so they hate us, okeii” I’m just grateful to the person that made Zenna’s skin 😭 i'm holding onto that for dear life. How many GBs of CC do you have and how long does it take your game to load from launch to in-game? I will go first. ^_^

Unrelated but I read 70GB as 700GB and went HOW- anyways I have two different CC folders!

My main folder is 152GB without deco sims (much larger when added) but it takes about ten minutes ;_; </3 (I'm planning on purging A LOT soon...... in three to one-hundred business days.....)

And my steampunk occult folder is 115GB and that takes about five minutes which is AWESOME! bb is so easy to use, however cas is challenging bc of how limited the clothing options are

Okay 45.9GB, putting the timer on... Alright 8 and a half minutes! But normally it's longer because I switch saves which means it has to load to world select before getting to in-game. But generally 5 minutes to reach the main menu screen and then 3 to 5 to get in the save.

43.7 GBs in my mods folder, 48+ GBs in total. I have sub folders for cc I don't use regularly, such as medieval era and Alpha, and only put them back when I'm using them to create a sim for someone else.

It took me 4:58 minutes to get into a save file with the EA app online, and 4:08 offline (normally I swear it's less than four minutes). The difference is that the ads always freeze my game, so unless I plan on using the gallery, I play offline.

Overall I think the reason why my game loads relatively quickly is that I try not to go overboard with build clutter, use smaller sized lots with my active households and I don't use any build&buy cc. Also I'm on a gaming laptop. Load times were much much slower when I was completely vanilla on a laptop I'd had since 2019.

For my heaviest cc save < 7gb. all other saves? 2gb at the most though it's usually around 500mb.

I'm just not into collecting mass hauls of cc anymore and my laptop can't handle a lot of cc anyway.

Faye's first week in Melino!

She got to attend a free Yoga lesson in the Park and in a separate park she found an arrowhead! She donated the arrowhead and some mushrooms she found to the Museum and the community bank. Her week ended by by visiting the free outdoor cinema event.

Dustyrat - They used to use it for their previews, but no longer do. Mesh no ai usage there ❌

Syboulette - They used to use AI textures in the past but they no longer use it !!

Swimwearsprada - AI previews idk. Meshes are AI

Scodee Yodee - AI previews idk. Meshes are AI (older stuff is fine, only their newer stuff uses it)

AFAIK dumbburgergirl - uses Al for that bubble font in their previews. Could also be using AI for some of the furniture they make

Skinfolk - Just look at their patreon. It’s quite obvious they use AI….LMAO I would also like to say that LifeLike-Simz and Skinfolk are most definitely the same person !!

Plumbelle - suspicious “new creator” using the words “NOT AI” they have since deleted the post and changed it to where it does not say the words “NOT AI”This person is suspected to be Pixelvibes
