Technically MTV Unplugged is not an album but with the Power of Internet, I've had it. I've listened to it so much, I actually burned a whole in the cd. And of course seeing the Wonderwall video and the iconic album cover made me curious listening to the whole album. Pretty sure everyone can agree it is Oasis's masterpiece. Day 5 of albums that shaped me: Pearl Jam - Live at the Gorge 05/06 Another live box set. 3 concerts, 8 discs and tons of songs. I remember first listening to this album while playing GTA 3 or Vice City maybe. When the song Crazy Mary started to play I had to pause the game mid-mission. I was blown away by Mike McCreadys guitar and Boom Gaspar's Hammond B3 organ solo. I never looked back after this. Did I mention Matt Cameron's drum solo during Even Flow. What album, a must listen! Day 4 of albums that shaped me: Metallica - Live Shit: Binge and Purge (Live in Mexico City, San Diego & Seattle) Hey Gabor, where's the metal from your list? Is it going to be all pop and electronica? Well here ya go... 2 videos (Seattle and San Diego) and the audio for Mexico City is just phenomenal. You have the hits like Enter Sandman, Nothing Else Matters, the heavy shit like Creeping Death, Battery, Whiplash sang by Jason Newsted, the jam songs like Seek and Destroy, Justice Medley everything in between. Day 3 of albums that shaped me challenge: U2 - Pop ANOTHER ONE (As DJ Khalid would say) that split the fan base. After getting off from the successful albums Achtung Baby and Zooropa but before All that You Can Leave Behind, we got Pop. Now not many people and U2 fans appreciate this great album, but I sure as hell do. Lots of sampling, electric drum beats, but in the heart of it it was still U2. Bono's beautiful lyrics on If God Will Send His Angels, the appropriately titled Discotheque, one of my favourite song Staring at the Sun and of course the best song on the album Do You Feel Loved takes me back being 12, on a Sunday listening to this album, falling asleep and then waking up to The Playboy Mansion (the song, not the series).
