I gave her a time, I gave her my mental health, I gave her my body, even when I said I didn't want to anymore, yet it wasn't enough. I only ended things when she wanted to steal me from my family. My family is everything, I will not allow that. I excused everything else. Even when she took advantage of my body. Yet, she still believes she has the right to tell everyone about my sex life, about my smoking addiction, about my vandalism, about my secrets. She thinks she has the right to make me seem like a villain. I recognized my mistakes. I was scared, because setting boundaries would always upset her. I encouraged her to depend on me, even though I knew I couldn't do it. I am growing, but she knows I don't have the heart to tell people how she hurt me. So she uses that to tell everyone how much of a monster I am. I am a feminist, but when it comes to break ups, no one believes the man. No one stood by my side... they all ran to comfort her... they let me rot... alone, I don't want revenge, that's immature. I just want to be heard, I want to be seen. I want to be understood. I want someone to care. I recognized what I did, she can't even recognize her white privilege.
