Proving yet again why he’s King Kendrick. Incredible stuff. 

The first (and very catchy!) single off of Painting With now has a mesmerizing music video replete with swinging Florida-shaped penises and technicolour sexy times. 

Crystal Castles sound fresh and exciting, even after multiple, multiple listens. Couldn’t love them more. 

I always return to this song from Shaking the Habitual when I want to get pumped up by something fiery and unpredictable. So many energizing and unnerving sounds!

Not sure if Whitney Wednesday is a thing, but it really should be, no?

Super catchy, supremely danceable and light. Alle Norton’s vocals are nothing to sneeze at either. 

This is an incredible new track from Savages, with an accompanying video that is completely captivating. And yes, it is human to adore life. 

Probably one of my favourite tracks from the last quarter of 2015. It just builds and builds....and then nothing. But that’s ok.

BLAST//Jamie xx - Gosh 

Yaaassss. Standout track from RTJ2 (well, let’s be honest, they’re all standouts) gets the video treatment. Will help to tide us over until RTJ3 is released, right?

The latest track off of Taiga to receive video treatment; “Hunger” is visually sparse, but it works well with her soaring voice and the marching sound of the drums and strings. It’s pretty hypnotic.

Easily the one of the most memorable music videos of the past decade, 2014’s “Chandelier” now has a an equally engrossing follow-up. “Elastic Heart” is the second single off of 1000 Forms of Fear and the video features the same dancer from “Chandelier” (Maddie Zeigler) and Shia LaBeouf, squaring off in large cage and exchanging frenetic dance moves. It is powerful stuff and I had to watch a few times in order to start listening to the song properly; I was too taken in with the narrative being brought to life with their dancing. Truly excellent and boundary-pushing work from all involved.

Seems appropriate to kick 2015 off with a track from two icons, spanning generations and genres. This is not only a real tear-jerker of a ballad, with the lyrics from the perspective of Kanye’s late mother, Donda, but it’s also a track that reminds us that Kanye is indeed human. Surely a sign that we should all be looking forward to hearing more from the West-McCartney collaboration.

What an awesome collaboration between these two Scandinavian artists. Featuring a throbbing and catchy beat that really kicks in around the two minute mark, distinctive, harmonizing vocals and a memorable music video, this track deserves plenty of listens.

Since its release a few days ago, “i” has managed to become a song that has divided fans and sparked intense internet debate over whether Kendrick has lost his mind by putting out something that sounds so radio-friendly and well, happy. I happen to love the track. Ya, it’s not gritty like the tracks found on GKMC, but in this increasingly negative and unstable world, I commend Kendrick for releasing a song with such a positive message. And, who knows, maybe when this song is placed into context with the rest of the album, it will make more sense to those who don’t get it.
