The word “psychedelic” comes from the Greek ψυχή (psychē “soul/spirit”) and δῆλος (dêlos, “manifest, visible”). In other words, it means something that allows your soul to manifest and become visible to you.

The story of “Cupid and Psyche“ can be considered as an allegory of Eros (Cupid) helping Psyche to rise up and join with him in union.
